I have been very happy with Qobuz for my listening. Stream with FLAC and have no problems and recent changes in the plugin make it much easier to save favorites. Spotify is, unfortunately becoming another 'media' company (as opposed to concentrating on music) and aimed at a different crowd. ericj's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3230 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115850 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

ARD Audiothek now has the entire (I think) set of ARD RadioFestival programs. Lots of superb classical music and interesting Jazz. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Community Firmware for Squeezebox Radio/Touch/Controller and LMS 8
A quick thank you and positive feedback. It was easy to update 1 radio and 1 touch. The radio has been stable since no drops of wifi, and no reboots. Reboots were a bit frequenct, I think because I has installed saver switcher and two custom-clock screensavers. I never had the patience to chase that down, but it has not been a problem for a couple of days. In case it is helpful, this was with a Max2Play installation running stretch/raspian. New life into a great product. BTW, radios seem fairly inexpensive (~$50?) on ebay now. My sincere thanks and wishes for the new year. ericj's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3230 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113479 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

First, I totally understand your position, and continue to appreciate your efforts in general, and certainly could live without iphone drag and drop. And, btw, I mistyped. I'm running IOS 12.2. The fact that Apple does not, by default, support HTML5 Standards is disturbing. I have done some investigating, and IOS on ipad and iphone have different defaults. I'll investigate further, but this is documented here, from stack exchange https://stackoverflow.com/questions/46392359/how-to-get-ios-11-drag-and-drop-working-on-the-iphone. Again, thanks for all the efforts on supporting this interface, particularly with a large set of target devices. I tried drag and drop and it worked well on ios 11 on the ipad, but apparently there are difference in the implemenation of drap and drop for the iphone. First, thanks for this terrific interface. Early on in this thread, it appears that the framework used does not work with IOS devices. I use this extensively on the desktop. On IOS (12.1.4 on a 8 plus), drag and drop editing does not appear to work. I assume that this is the responsibility of the framework, but just wanted to make sure that I was not missing something. Apologies in advance if I missed something in the thread, but I did look. Again, great work, and just checking that my understanding of the situation is correct. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: ShairTunes2 plugin - Airtunes on your LMS
Any pointers will greatly appreciated. As I wrote earlier, the plugin seems to install fine, and all my devices appear on the iDevice. I have completely installed LMS 7.9 from scratch. However, when I try to use airplay to forward something from iTunes, indicates the idevice is selected, it pauses for about 8 seconds, i, then a message "Cannot complete action" sometimes appears on the device, and the airplay menu reverts to the idevice and stops playing the tune that is being forwarded. I've enabled debug logging (using the shairtunes setting, assume this is correct?) and it is not very helpful. Is there other logging that would indicative? As you can see below, there is no indication that the helper app is being called, etc.. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: ShairTunes2 plugin - Airtunes on your LMS
I have installed 0.17 on my server, LMS 7.9 recent nightly. All my squeeze devices show up as audio/airplay devices, but when I select one, the stream goes silent and in about 5 seconds the dialog "Cannot Complete Action" appears. The stream is then stopped. I've tried looking at the logs, enabling shairport switch to debugging, but it does not look that useful Code: [15-07-28 15:18:50.8896] Plugins::ShairTunes2::Plugin::initPlugin (91) Initialising 0.17 on i686-linux-gnu-thread-multi-64int and messages indicating that the devices have been published [15-07-28 20:19:53.2827] Plugins::ShairTunes2::Plugin::publishPlayer (221) start avahi-publish-service "Office Touch" I'm using 12.04 LTS Ubuntu, 32 bit. Is it possible the wrong (64 bit) helper app is being called? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. Im trying to get this to work on a ReadyNAS Ultra 2, running Radiator 4.2.27. Deep down, I believe the is debian etch and the latest FFmpeg, installed using apt-get is 0.6.7-4:0.6.7-0.netgear2 Installed version 1.1 of the PlayHLS plugin via repository. Apple HLS m3u8 shows ffmpeg, for flac fmmpeg or flac for mhp3 and ffmpeg to PCH. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Smart Mix plugin
Just installed 0.92, a couple of quick observations --with external sources (MOG in my case), both artist radio and mix (under the smart mix entry) work just fine. --with external sources off (my library selected) no luck (no mix is generated) although I have run a full scan. In addition, when I try to generate a new recipe using the blender, the upper frame looks fine, but when I type in the name of an artist, there is a brief blink of activity, but the lower frame remains blank. Sorry I don't have more time to do dumps of log files right now, but this is a great reward to users, and I hope this is a little helpful Thanks. A couple of worrisome moments until I opened my firewall for the helper app, and checked the security advanced settings to allow other IP's in. First, thanks Triode for this. I quite liked the proms (non-electric) broadcasts that were tested before, and listen to Radio 3 quite often. Does anyone have a clue of the bitrate of the Radio 3 live stream outside the UK? It reports 32k cbr, but sounds a bit better, but of course that could be the result of wanting a higher bit rate. Great product, one small thought. Some song titles, particularly for classical music, are lengthy, and strings like Alleg.Chopin might not be the most helpful. This is how things show up on both the control screen and the playlist. I realize that we are working with limited space, but would wrap around on the playlist be a possibility? I took about 5 minutes to install this on my Ubuntu server. It was much simpler than I thought. Simply edited the install.xml file, installed the plugin, and then rebooted. The required modules all were previsouly installed (checked in synaptic). This is alpha software, and while it would be nice to have an interface for the controller and web, AND access to archive games, it was nice to be able to listen to out-of-town (i.e. market) games. The low quality of the audio reminded me of listening to baseball on AM radio while driving cross country. No fading though! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SuperDateTime - Current Date/Temperature and/or Baseball Screensaver
Greg: Again thanks for all the help and support. I am running 5.6.2 and 7.2 on another installation, with Mac OS X 10.5.4.Interestingly, I have the overlap problem with the symbol being overwritten by the three line information. Stop and restarted, made sure that long forecasts are set to none, etc. I did a "sudo find / -name fontcache" with no results. Mostly fyi, but perhaps someone else with a mac can point out where this cache would be? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SuperDateTime - Current Date/Temperature and/or Baseball Screensaver
Part of my problem, with the weather updates, was due to asking for the long weather forecasts to be constantly displayed. It looked like the log was pulling all the information down successfully. If I have other issues, you will, unfortunately hear about them. To make things simpler, I unplugged the reciever, and all but one squeezebox. By not retrieving data, I mean the screen has the Weather Channel logo and the time. Time updates, but otherwise the screen save does not cycle. I normally have it retrieving weather and Baseball scores. I have no other retrieval plug ins as part of SuperDateTime. AstroInfo, for example, seems to be pulling data successfuly. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Potential Solution for MusicIP/Music Folder Problem
First, thanks to all for your comments. They have been extraordinarily helpful and generous. Second, I concur that having MusicIP and the Squeezeserver scans operate independently is a good thing. Finally, Pippin's comment got me to thinking. I had installed MusicIP with no music library (as documented in the wiki), and that is what I wanted to use CustomBrowse to address. When I tried to enter my library as Pippin had suggested, I found that the MusicIP scan would hang. After some thought, a penny dropped, and I remembered that I had some flac's with embedded cue sheets that might have been a problem. The log was very ambiguous. I did use metaflac and a find command to remove the cue sheets and everything is hunky dory, at least to date. I have my Music Folders back. For Erland, I did want to report that his Music Folders custom browse entry did show my entire system. I think this way would have worked out, but don't need it as of now. I am a big fan and will use Custom Browse for my Classical and Opera collection. Thanks to all for all the help. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Potential Solution for MusicIP/Music Folder Problem
Thanks, and my apologies for not providing details... My goal is to add a music folder menu using custom browse. To get MusicIP to work, it looks like I cannot have a string in the SC music folder settings. So this corresponds to erland's >Or is the Music Folder parameter empty in the SqueezeCenter Settings and you just want MusicIP mixers support in the other browse menus while you are still able to use the Music Folder Menu ? In more concrete terms, is there a way to change the custom browse music folder entry to start at a specific directory (or other similar workaround).
