Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
This thing is getting pretty solid on my setup! Got around to try synchronization at last between my SB3 and Boom. It seems to work flawlessly. Been skipping tracks, stopping and restarted playback on both the master and the slave and they just hum along as they should. The synchronization is top notch as well, haven't been altering any timing settings for it but no need at the moment it seems. All in all, great work! -- goopile goopile's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38816 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Triode;558850 Wrote: Question for people with large playlists and loss of information in the playlist display - what's the largest size of your playlists? [At present there is an internal server cache which is limited to 100 remote track entries which is shared between all things like player playlists. As I put tracks into the normal server playlist, if the playlist is more than 100 entries I start to loose information such as titles etc. If there are multiple players each with their own playlist then we can get to this point faster. I've realised I can resize the server cache - but what's a reasonable maximum size for people?]The playlist I'm using is about 250 entries, but I think that's actually quite a small playlist, my usual playlists are somewhere around 500 tracks. I asked earlier but I don't know if you saw my question about dynamically adding items to the right hand side playlist as they play (see Erlands dynamic playlists). Would that prevent the cache from filling up? The downside is of course that you will only see a portion of the playlist on the right hand side. Might be an option for very large playlists further down the road? Or does it add unnecessary complexity? -- goopile goopile's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38816 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Triode;556820 Wrote: Just posted a new beta. This includes the updated spotifyd I posted yesterday to simplify installation for people. It also contains some changes to work around the problem of repeatedly playing the same track from long playlists. There is still a problem that playlists of 100 entries will show up with out titles in the playlist. This is due to an assumption about less than 100 tracks in SBS which I need to work out how to deal with. How about using Erlands dynamic playlist plugin, that would make the playlist load 10 tracks at a time (or whatever value it's set to)? Of course that would make it dependent on yet another plugin... just a thought. Finally, some restarts solved some of my empty playlist problems. The boom is booming! I think I found a bug though, if a json-record in the playlist-result contains an album like this: Code: { name: Orinoco Flow, uri: spotify:track:0Fyj9w0HVfjoxm9S8nGClt, artist: Enya, album: Themes From Calmi Cuori Appassionati, duration: 267000, cover: 8e1c43f6f712179e9a3510e51423de6a614ee9ca } it will result in this: Code: [10-06-20 14:53:57.3591] Plugins::Spotify::SinglePlaylist::parse (20) , or } expected while parsing object/hash, at character offset 40423 [Calmi Cuori Appassio...] at /opt/squeezebox-server/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/Spotify/SinglePlaylist.pm line 17. Those double quotes inside the album name are probably not up to any good... -- goopile goopile's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38816 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
