Just found that Max2Play have a "Compile latest from source..." button.
So now I have the grid view working.

Thanks for your support.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Customize JiveLite

2017-04-29 Thread ltb76

Thanks for your reply.

The GridSkin I have on my device is HD - unfortunately the 7" display on
my player is only 800x480 so no luck there. Maybe a fitting resolution
will be available as more people get the raspberry display.

The Touch and hold trick did help me clean up the menus, that makes it
easier for the kid.

I'm already on 7.9 so I have the custom browse menus. And I have been
playing with that. Is there any way to get the Custom Browse feature to
include certain playlists?
(So you can include music from streaming services :) )

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Customize JiveLite

2017-04-28 Thread ltb76

Hi,

I’ve been a long time user of the Squeezebox system, and have multiple
of the Squeezebox 3s around the house. Since most of the remotes are
dead, so we usually use SqueezeCommander on our phones to control the
players. The main drawback is that our 3 year old kid is not able to
play the music he wants to listen to. So I was looking around for a
solution with a touchscreen.
I ended up ordering a Raspberry Pi 7'' Touch Display Bundle with
Audiophonics bundle from Max2Play.
In general the setup works nicely. However I find the JiveLite interface
a little cluttered and would like to customize it a bit.
I have seen a few pictures where the interface is in “Grid” view instead
for “List” view. But I cannot seem find out how to change that, any
pointers on how to do that?

Secondly, when we press a song it clears the playlist, and starts
playing the pressed song – how do I change default action to “add”
instead of “play”?

Is there any documentation on how to customize / edit the JiveLite
interface?

Thank you in advance.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)

2011-08-14 Thread ltb76

Hi,

I really use your Spotify plug-in alot, it is now my primary source to
test / discover new music.
If possible, a nice enhancement to your plug-in could be to find
additional albums to artist you already have in your private
collection.

What I would like is, when I look at Lenny Kravitz under Artists (my
own collection, not spotify), the plug-in automatically do a "Lennny
Kravitz" search in Spotifys catalog, and lists the missing albums
together with my own Lenny Kravitz albums.

E.G.:
In my own collection I have the following Lenny Kravitz albums:
5
Are You Gonna Go My Way

Spotify has:
Let Love Rule
It is time for a Love revolution
Baptism
Lenny
Greatest Hits

So when browsing Artist --> Lenny Kravitz I see all the available
albums.

Cheers,

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] TrackStat restore on SBS 7.6

2011-07-27 Thread ltb76

I'm getting the message for a large amount of tracks.
However, after a reboot my trackstats appears to be back, so I'm
guessing that it must be warnings about old entries. (its been months
since the mentioned folder was renamed)

Do I need to press "Delete unused statistics" to clean up my DB?
Is there a way to get the plug-in to do this "cleaning" as a part of a
maintenance schedule?

Cheers,

Lasse

[SlimDevices: Plugins] TrackStat restore on SBS 7.6

2011-07-27 Thread ltb76

Hi,

I just made a fresh SBS 7.6 install on Debian 6. I cannot restore my
TrackStat info, I get the error:

Code:

  [11-07-27 15:43:32.5177] Plugins::TrackStat::Storage::saveTrack (983) No
matching alternative path found for
file:///mnt/musik/ACDC/Black%20Ice%20(Rock%20-%202008)/02%20-Skies%20On%20Fire%20.flac.

matching alternative path found for
file:///mnt/musik/ACDC/Black%20Ice%20(Rock%20-%202008)/04%20-Anything%20Goes.flac.

On my old SBS server I had the music in /mnt/musik - and I have keept
that folder structure.

Code:

  /mnt/musik/ACDC/Black Ice (Rock - )/02 -Skies On Fire.flac
  /mnt/musik/ACDC/Black Ice (Rock - )/03 -Big Jack.flac
  /mnt/musik/ACDC/Black Ice (Rock - )/04 -Anything Goes.flac

In the backup (XML) the urls for the files is looking like this

Code:

file%3A%2F%2F%2Fmnt%2Fmusik%2FACDC%2FBlack%2520Ice%2520(Rock%2520-%25202008)%2F02%2520-Skies%2520On%2520Fire%2520.flac

file%3A%2F%2F%2Fmnt%2Fmusik%2FACDC%2FBlack%2520Ice%2520(Rock%2520-%25202008)%2F03%2520-Big%2520Jack%2520.flac

file%3A%2F%2F%2Fmnt%2Fmusik%2FACDC%2FBlack%2520Ice%2520(Rock%2520-%25202008)%2F04%2520-Anything%2520Goes.flac

I'm guessing its the spaces in the folder / file names that is causing
the issue.

Would it be enough to modify the XML file to:

Code:

  file/mnt/musik/ACDC/Black Ice (Rock - )/02 -Skies On Fire.flac
  file/mnt/musik/ACDC/Black Ice (Rock - )/03 -Big Jack.flac
  file/mnt/musik/ACDC/Black Ice (Rock - )/04 -Anything Goes.flac

Or do I need to rename all my files/folders and get rid of the spaces?
Or is there another way to fix this?

Any input much appreciated.

Cheers,

The plug-in only works on intel CPUs

If you take a look at http://www.spotify.com/int/get-spotify/premium/
and scroll down to "Compare Products" it says that there is no
"Roaming" limits.
How ever it would violate Spotifys policy, and you still need a UK
credit card to pay for the account (There are ways to bypass that
though)

Because Spotify only releases their library for that CPU architecture.

The Plug-in already works on Linux. If you have a QNAP with an Intel
CPU then there is a link in a previous post to an alternate version
that should work.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)

2010-06-20 Thread ltb76

Suggestions for future versions...

It would be nice with a Start / Stop button for the spotifyd process in
the webinterface. That way you don’t need to log on to the SBServer and
kill the spotifyd process whenever you need to use the Desktop Spotify
client.

And it would be nice if it was possible to add “Spotify” at the root at
the player menu, so we don’t need to go “Internet Radio” --> Spotify.

But again thanks for a great plugin.

Cheers

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)

2010-06-20 Thread ltb76

First of – great plugin 

I do have one issue though.
The “Helper App” (spotifyd) does not start automatically.

My server is a Debian Lenny, I have installed libflac and libogg with
apt-get. The Spotify plugin was installed from the webinterface.

Version: 7.5.1 - r30836 @ Tue Jun 1 05:57:28 PDT 2010
Hostname: freja
Server IP Address: 172.16.10.70
Server HTTP Port Number: 9000
Operating system: Debian - EN - utf8
Platform Architecture: i686-linux
Perl Version: 5.10.0 - i486-linux-gnu-thread-multi
MySQL Version: 5.0.51a-24+lenny4
Total Players Recognized: 6

If I launch “.. /Spotify/Bin/i386-linux/spotifyd” from the shell it
works flawless.
But I can’t seem to get I launch automatically. For now it’s not an big
issue for me. I’m happy just running spotifyd manually.

I have attached the logs – but I do not seem to get a lot of info.

Cheers,

I’m trying to get IRBlaster to work with a Pioneer DV303 receiver.
The commands learned by the wizard are not working for the DV303.
I’ve tried teaching it commands for my TV at that works.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Re: Album Review Issue

2006-11-22 Thread ltb76

Hi,

I got the same problem. Album Review just shows "()".
With plugin loggin enabled the AlbumReview plugin does not produce any
info in the logfile.

When pressing the AlbumReview link, the page loads very quickly - as if
it is not even trying to do a lookup.

By deleting the plugin folder, restarting the slimserver, recreating
the plugin folder and the restarting the slimserver again I'm sometimes
able to get it to load 1 album review, but then it just "breaks" again.

Temporary files? :-) Don't quite understand what you mean. tmp isn't a

partition, but a folder.

My point - I thought it was odd to backup temporary files

2006-10-01 Thread ltb76

Actually I'm not sure how the SlimCD has been behaving when doing HD
installs before the 1.8b - I was just re-thinking my slimserver install
and was therefore trying the HD install.

Why have you included these files in the backup:
tmp/.slimcache/my.cnf
tmp/.slimcache/MySQL
What info is stored in the tmp partition?

Anyway - as always great work with the SlimCD :)

2006-09-30 Thread ltb76

Hi Michael,

Have you tried doing a HD install?
I can’t get the slimserver to start – I get:
cp: cannot stat /KNOPPIX/etc/.slimserver.pref: No such file or
directory
and the the slimserver daemon exits.

I’ve tried in VMWare and on a real machine – the 1.8beta did not seem
to have this issue.

I’ve looked at my 1.8 install, and it does not have a /KNOPPIX folder /
mount (neither does the 1.8beta)

Any ideas to why this happens?

Yes a few years ago I did play some with SuSE Linux, but I must admit I
had to google abit to get into the "DSL way"

I think a quick learner will be able to this over a weekend.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Re: SlimCD & Samba: How-to?

2006-07-19 Thread ltb76

I did not find it that hard to get SlimCD to run Headless.
Here is what I did:
-Booted SlimCD on laptop.
-Connected a 300GB USB HD
-Did a USB Pendrive ZIP install on the USB HD with the following boot
switches: 2 ssh nosound (2 boots to shell, ssh starts the ssh deamon
and nosound skips the sound module (I dont need that on my server.
there are other switches you might benefit from)
-The USB install automatically generates 2 partitions
-Formated the 2nd partition with FAT32 (has to be done in Linux)
-put the samba package in /opt/
-created a smb.conf file and put it in the home folder
-modifyed the bootlocal.sh to do the following:
--load the samba module
--mount the 2. partition
--change root password
--create a smbpassword for root
--start samba
-configured the SlimServer
-set backup of the SlimCD to the 2nd harddisk

Now I have a 300GB USB disk that boots SlimCD and contains all my
music, and If I need it, I can connect the USB disc to my Windows
computer and read all my music.
I then found a old Thin Client, previously used to access Citrix. It
has a 533Mhz VIA chip and 512MB RAM.
Granted it is slow when rescanning the music library, but I have
absolutly no problems running Slimserver on it.
It is completly headless and the squeezebox can wake it using Wake On
Lan, so I just powers it off when I'm not using the Squeeze box.
If I need to do any config changes I can connect using SSH or I can
take the disc and boot it on my laptop.

I must say I am very happy with this configuration.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Re: SlimCD & Samba: How-to?

2006-07-10 Thread ltb76

RE:Win2K3 server

You need to change the NTLM Policy for that server to allow access from
"unsafe" clients. If the server is a Domain Server you need to change
the Domain Policy aswell.

By deafult Windows Server 2003 will try to encrypt everything sent to
and from it. With this enabled you will not be able to log in to the
share from your Linux/MAC/Win9x client.
To fix this there are a couple of options.
-1 your server is nothing more than a regular file server. In this case
open up regedit (Start > Run > "regedit" {return}), and navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ System \ CurrentControlSet \ Services \
LanManServer \ Parameter \ RequireSecuritySignature, and set it's value
to "0".

-2, your server is also a Domain Controller. In which case you need to
open the DC's Security Policy (Administrative Tools > Domain Controller
Security Policy). Navigate to Local Policies > Secuiry Options, and
disable "Microsoft network server: Digitally sign communications
(always)" & "Microsoft network server: Digitally sign communications
(if client agrees)".

Reboot your sever, and you should be good to go.

I've installed it on a CF card and is using it in an old Thin Client. I
already added the ssh + mount to the bootlocal.sh.
I was just thinking that I wasn't the only one that had my system
running headless in closet :)

Regarding the USB mounting. For now I've tryed editing the fstab, no
luck yet. I'll be lookin into it on the DSL site. If I find the answer
I'll pass it on to you.

This is a pretty cool CD. I have 2 questions though.
Wouldn't it be an idea if connected USB disks would be mounted
automaticaly? And maybe having the SSH deamon running automaticaly?
I'm running the "SlimCD Server" headless in a closet, it would be nice
if I didn't have to put on a local keyboard + mouse to mount the USB
disks.

If the purpose of the SlimCD is to have a very small SlimServer, then
maybe it could be a idea not to start X as default?

Anyway a HIGHLY COOL CD - keep up the good work.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Idea to a new PlugIn

2006-06-01 Thread ltb76

Hi,

I would really like to see a ”Jukebox” function on my Squeezebox in the
future.
When having a party it is really annoying when people keep changing
music. It would be cool if it was possible to place the Squeezebox in
“Jukebox Mode”. It should be possible to add music to the playlist but
not removing. Furthermore it would be a nice feature if it was possible
to prevent adding the same song / artist 10 times in a row.
