Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
Has anyone ever tried (and succeeded) using this Spotify plugin on a SoftSqueeze software player over an SSH tunnel? I did search for an answer but haven't found one yet. I've tried using both the in-built SSH tunnel feature of SoftSqueeze (3.9b2) and using Cygwin SSH manually. Both ways there is no audio and the player sits at 'Now Playing (Connecting...)' until I stop it. This SoftSqueeze instance is configured for direct streaming. Spotify is working fine on SoftSqueeze at home where no tunnel is required. The running Squeezebox Server is 'v7.5.4 - r32224' and the Spotify plugin is up-to-date. -- mattross mattross's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8434 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
Wow, I'm impressed with this plugin! Sounds sweet (Grand Funk Railroad) and after some Linux ia32-libs niggles is working well via my Debian server to my Transporter. Had not previously considered Spotify worthy of £10 a month without seamless integration with my Squeezebox Server setup but this has changed my mind and I signed up straight away. Just hoping for lossless at some future point and then I can forget about huge NAS boxes to store it all locally. Thank you. -- mattross mattross's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8434 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: BBCiPlayer Plugin (UK only)
I have just caught up a bit and realised the Iplayer (1.1.5) plugin can display stream information, including the track name of the song currently playing. This works well on my Transporter and Squeezebox3 if I play a live stream from the Iplayer menu, but I've been trying to get it working via an alarm. I have Radio 6Music live added to a playlist and while the alarm plays the audio stream fine each morning it does not display any of the stream information. Is there some way to get it working via a playlist? -- mattross mattross's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8434 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53229 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AlienBBC + iPlayer no longer work after 7.3.4 > 7.4.2 upgrade
Hi, You will be pleased to know I have found the cause of my iPlayer playback woes, and it is related to the 'Can't call method "duration" on unblessed reference' error as you said. Through a laborious process of elimination I removed each part of the preferences, stopped the server, restarted and tried iPlayer. Eventually I have tracked the cuplrit to be the 'duration' field on the player's settings / Basic Settings page. I have a customised 'TITLE FORMAT' of 'DISC-TRACKNUM. TITLE (DURATION)'. When the DURATION field is present iPlayer does not work, switch to another value without it and it works without restarting. I use the same field on both my Transporter and Squeezebox3, and I can break iPlayer on SoftSqueeze the same way by choosing that title format. So as this previously worked under v7.3.4 is it safe to assume this is a bug? -- mattross mattross's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8434 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=70413 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Yes I am using a 64-bit kernel, but I have the 'libc6-i386' package installed and ldd is finding all the required libraries: Code: # ldd /usr/share/squeezeboxserver/Bin/i386-linux/faad linux-gate.so.1 => (0xf7fc1000) libm.so.6 => /lib32/libm.so.6 (0xf7f8b000) libc.so.6 => /lib32/libc.so.6 (0xf7e36000) /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0xf7fc2000) I think the fact SoftSqueeze can play streams implies something else is not right. -- mattross mattross's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8434 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=70413 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] AlienBBC + iPlayer no longer work after 7.3.4 > 7.4.2 upgrade
Following the Debian Wiki instructions I uninstalled Squeezecenter and installed the testing release of Squeezebox Server, 7.4.2. I restored my settings from backup and reinstalled all the plugins I previously had installed. Although my standard music files work fine, both AlienBBC and the iPlayer (0.9f) plugins do not output any audio to my Squeezebox3 and Transporter. I don't use AlienBBC much anymore but would like to get the iPlayer working again. In the process table on my Debian server I have: Code: 105 19520 19499 0 14:31 ?00:00:00 sh -c "/usr/share/squeezeboxserver/Bin/i386-linux/faad" -q -w -f 1 "-" | "/usr/share/squeezeboxserver/Bin/i386-linux/flac" -cs --totally-silent --compression-level-0 --ignore-chunk-sizes - 105 19521 19520 0 14:31 ?00:00:00 /usr/share/squeezeboxserver/Bin/i386-linux/faad -q -w -f 1 - 105 19522 19520 0 14:31 ?00:00:00 /usr/share/squeezeboxserver/Bin/i386-linux/flac -cs --totally-silent --compression-level-0 --ignore-chunk-sizes - It looks like faad is starting up fine but there is no audio. Interestingly when using a Softsqueeze player on my PC the iPlayer stream does play. Thanks for the suggestions. If I cannot get this working I'll have to go down the BottleRocket route, although I may need a USB version. Felix how do you interpret the codes? Is there a document I can read to understand the raw_codes format? BTW the Pronto I used to try and teach the Squeezebox works fine when sending the commands to my IR->X10 box from right across the room without a clear line of sight. I downloaded the .CCF for the X10 codes from RemoteCentral. [SlimDevices: Plugins] IRBlaster and raw_codes not working?
I have been using the IRBlaster plugin, v4.1.2, to try and learn the IR codes for an X10 ir7243 device. This is an infrared to X10 controller. I have already taught my Pronto 950 the commands and it works fine when I use that directly. However, the IR emitter [from an MCE remote] plugged into my Squeezebox3 does not work when sending these commands. I have used the plugin in learning mode to generate the following file: Code: begin remote name X10 flags RAW_CODES begin raw_codes name 1 4350372512503750 3725375012506425 3725375012503750 4300375012503750 3725375012502 name 2 3725375012503750 3725375012503750 3725375012503750 3725375012503750 3725375012503750 name on 4350370012756375 3725372512503725 3725372512506375 3725372512503700 4300372512502 name off 4350372512503725 3725372512503700 4300372512503725 3725372512503700 4300372512502 end raw_codes end remote When I power on or off my Squeezebox the IR emitter has a single flash which looks identical to me whether I turn it on or off, so presumably it is sending the commands OK. So this may mean it is not learning the codes correctly to start with. Do my raw_codes look legitimate? BTW I'm running SlimServer Version: 6.5.2 - 11665. Thanks. Edit: Forgot to mention that I have command '2' followed by either 'on' or 'off' as the commands being sent with a 1 second delay. This X10 command is used to power on/off my Aego-M 2.1 speakers plugged into an X10 appliance module. -- mattross mattross's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8434 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=34523 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
