The trackstat plugin also has an option to backup/restore data to/from a file (never tested it though). And as agillis already said, most plugins can be downloaded in the Extension Donloader now, so you won't run into file permission problems. -- signor_rossi signor_rossi's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11941 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=61460 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] Which guide to follow for MusicIP setup in Ubuntu Linux?
Could need a little help on which one to follow. I looked already in the wiki and the forums and found a few, but I really couldn't understand/decide which one was the right one to follow. I would like to use it with Sugarcube and be able to analyze my library on my SC server from another (faster) computer on the network. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: UPnPBridge = integrate UPnP/DLNA players with LMS (squeeze2upnp)
Hi, tried to install this and your Castbridge plugin and had some little problems, which I want to communicate since they might be useful to someone. OS is Openmediavault Stone Burner (Debian Wheezy) LMS package is latest nightly (7.9.0 - 1449237502) for Debian UPnPBridge and CastChrome are installed through your repos (http://sourceforge.net/projects/lms-to-cast/files/dev/repo-sf.xml and http://sourceforge.net/projects/lms-to-upnp/files/stable/repo-sf.xml) The problem was that the dynamically linked amd64 executables need a newer glibc than the ones Debian Wheezy provides and that the statically linked executables you also provide are not selectable in the plugin configuration GUI despite being present in the plugin Bin directory. For the time being I deleted the amd64 executables and made symbolic links to the static binaries instead. Oh, and permissions for the castchrome 386 executable were not set to executable. Thanks for providing such an useful plugin, I use it with my Marantz Nr1504 receiver which has a better DAC than my Duet. signor_rossi's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11941 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103728 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I tried to figure it out but failed. I thought libc6-i386 was it, but it works without it, too. ia32-libs (which lms would need for the transcoding binaries it includes) is and cannot be installed on my system without messing it up and dpkg-query doesn't show any 32bit libraries installed at a first glance.. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: CastBridge = integrate Chromecast players with LMS (squeeze2cast)
Got a problem with my high definition flacs bought from SoS on my Chromecast, I hear only static. My lms is on a Ubuntu Server vm installation on Windows 10, but that may not be part of the issue since these files play fine transcoded to any other player that cannot play them back natively (Squeezeplayer on my phone e.g.). The command line invoked for these hd-flacs is Code: flac -dcs --force-raw-format --endian=little --sign=signed -- /path/to/file The process also quits after a couple of seconds, so something goes awry there. I don't have any real problems or aren't plagued by a bug, I am just trying to organize my music collection and its' playback in a new way. :) ATM I am experimenting with custom tags and have thought that it would be nice to be able to select a random album from a set of albums with a certain custom tag or from a certain library. It is just that your SQLPlugin doesn't have an existing playback option and that I am too stupid to cook one up myself, hence my question. :) SBS version is 7.6.1 - r33110 nightly on Arch Linux. -- signor_rossi signor_rossi's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11941 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49483 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SMD, let's discover the music
Hi, great to see such an ambitious 'plug-in' (it is much more!) project for SBS, I am really looking forward to it. I couldn't test it yet, though, since I have some nasty shared library problem here on Arch Linux so that SMD cannot start. Code: java: error while loading shared libraries: libjli.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory I have checked the docs for my distro and am quite positive that Java is installed as it is meant to be on Arch ;). My guess is that it may have something to do with the fact that sbs runs under an extra setup user 'squeezebox' at the installation and the paths aren't set correctly for that user. Unfortunately it is only a guess and I don't know how to solve this myself, any ideas? -- signor_rossi signor_rossi's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11941 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=90278 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

According to /etc/mtab /proc is mounted... Anyway, I just changed the set-up for the squeezebox user so that it has a login shell now (was /bin/false before in /etc/passwd) and started the plugin manually in a shell as user squeezebox, started a scan and have now working smd menus under My Music in the web interface. :) What doesn't work is the smd frontend under Extras, I just get to see the Sun Java download page. :( -- signor_rossi signor_rossi's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11941 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=90278 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: License Manager, plugins/applets going commercial
Just a quick question, erland: What do you think is the appropriate price for a years' license for all your plug-ins at this point in time? -- signor_rossi signor_rossi's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11941 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=90410 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] Custom Browse/Custom Scan and iPeng questions
I tried to solve this first one myself already, but was not really adept at it... :( The goal is simple, I want to have my albums listed by a custom tag with the album artwork already showing on the first level, without having to select a specific value for the custom tag first (e.g. it should look like the standard SBS album menu with the albums sorted by a custom tag). can anyone point me in the right direction? Now the iPeng for iPad/iPhone (have both) question; is it possible to reduce the displayed menu items on the main screen? Disabling unused menu items would make the whole UI more pleasant for my use case. -- signor_rossi signor_rossi's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11941 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=92636 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Custom Browse/Custom Scan and iPeng questions
Thanks for the answers! @pippin O.K., might file a ticket or two on the iPeng trac. :) @erland Your suggestion does the trick. I tried the Custom Browse/Custom Scan route before, but wasn't able to cut the extra menu level. Using ALBUMSORT may also work for me, but I am actually only at the beginning of a major tagging/library reorganisation operation just now, so I can't tell for sure. :) -- signor_rossi signor_rossi's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11941 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=92636 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
