As it happened, I had named one of my Airports with a special character (Danish 'ø') in it which the parser choked on. Editing the /slimserver/prefs/raopbridge.xml and replacing the 'ø' with '' and the error vanished with a restart. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Music & Artist Information plugin
Many artists seem to share names with others, particularly monomynous artists such as Sebastian or Fish, but also bands from one country who forget to look abroad before picking a name such as Kyoji Yamamoto's old band Bow Wow and recent rapper Bow Wow colliding. Is it possible to have MAI disambiguate these somehow? Can I add an Id3 tag to the albums to specify a unique artist? -(Let me just add a few extra key words here, to make it easier to search for this in the future :) #ambiguous #duplicate #twin #same name)- Thomas Nielsen -I breathe music...- thniels's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=71094 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99537 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Q] Delete Tidal albums from library?
Erghh, I simply hadn't noticed that when using the "Add Track/Album/Artist to Library", the album would be added to the Tidal collection online . This is as close to an actual epiphany I will get this week, I think :o. [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Q] Delete Tidal albums from library?
I have quite a few albums in my library that were added through OMLI. Among these are some inadvertent duplicates and at least one album that was added [horribly :)] before the contributor normalization method. I presume I can only delete these directly from the database and have a fairly good fix on which tables to update. However, I need to be sure that I am not missing a simpler method or a best practice. I wouldn't want to orphan anyone. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: CDplayer plugin
I must concur... We have [literally] crates full of CDs that we haven't ripped, nor do we expect to in any near future. Many of those don't exist on streaming services and sometimes it's just nice to pick an album and peruse the cover as you listen to it. Exactly the same attraction that vinyl has. We even have reel-to-reel and cassette tapes, except they aren't LMS-able right now -- except, there is the waveinput plugin, isn't there? One day, perhaps. I digress... we also borrow a lot of CDs from the library, both music and audiobooks. That also doesn't belong in our library. So, yes. There are plenty of use cases for the CDplayer plugin and thank you for that :o. As mentioned, I use BT very very rarely, so even if I curse and swear when it happens, I never invested the efforts needed to actually fix it or come up with a less intrusive workaround. So, yes. I switch it off :-). If I connect with Bluetooth, the Mu-so (2nd gen) doesn't automatically switch to Airplay and disappears from the device list in LMS. Since I rarely use BT with it, I haven't dug deeper into the whys and hows of it. Apart from this specific use-case, we have had zero issues with it, LMS wise. AirPlay Bridge settings are default. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] What are you using for Android?
We use Material Skin for everything and the APK on Android. Not only does Material Skin have the exact amount of features we need, but it is also a pleasure to look at. Additionally, we have AirBubble (a very old app from BubbleSoft) running in the background on our phones so that we can stream to the phone (for headphones) via Airplay Bridge. Having just one controller across all platforms is good for motor memory :-). Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
I absolutely love Material Skin and would love it even more if it was possible to have separate volume controls in the top volume button, just like the one in the Manage All Players menu... 33235 It's pretty much 50-50 whether I adjust volume on a group or individual players. +---+ |Filename: materialskin_volume.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=33235| +---+ thniels's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=71094 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
