Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SqueezeDroid - Open Souce Android Remote

2011-02-16 Thread spile

I really like this application. The only thing missing for me is the
ability to transfer music to SD and play it back when away from home.
I use another app Player to do that at the moment.

Hi Drew,

It's actually the ip address of the machine that squeezebox server is
installed on. Unless you have set a username and password on the
squeezebox server, you can just leave those blank. The default ports
should be fine as well, so long as you have not changed them.

Squeezedroid does not support mysqueezebox.com at this time.

Let me know if this fixes you.

Yeah, thanks, I figured it out from the Squeezebox server on my 'puter,
and I think you've answered my next question. You are saying I can't
log into the Touch server directly, I have to go through the 'puter
server, correct?

Do you have plans on getting it to run through the Touch server (which
I believe runs through mysqueezebox.com, right?)

I read about another app that claims to run through mysqueezebox.com,

Thanks for your help and developement.

Hi Chris, nice good clean code. Today is my first day using SB and I
want to write a player/GUI for it that will run in Adobe Air/Flex. I
have been googling like crazy trying to find documentation on the CLI
telnet control interface and cannot find it! I have seen your CLI calls
in CliSqueezeService.java and it helps me understand a little bit about
the CLI. Do you have a cheatsheet or any kind of documentation on the
CLI protocol for issuing commands? How did you figure it all out!?!?
Help, please send me something...

Yeah, it's on your server where pippin pointed you to.

The CliSqueezeService java file is where most of my stuff is, but the
regular expressions that I use to pull apart the responses are
undocumented and maybe a little hard to read. Shoot me an email if you
have any questions and I'll try and help you if I can.

There's another open source android project out there called
'android-squeezer' if you want some more examples.

Also handles authentication now and remembers the last player you

I'm working on search now, I hope to have something finished by next
week.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SqueezeDroid - Open Souce Android Remote

It sounds like you might be having some issues connecting to the server
(Although squeezedroid should handle this better). Do you have the CLI
enabled on your squeezeserver?

I've uploaded a new version to the market that should not allow you to
get to the main screen unless a valid server connection can be
established. Give it a try if you like and tell me if it works any
better.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SqueezeDroid - Open Souce Android Remote

2009-09-27 Thread clehmann

Hello,

I've just published a new app to the android market to control
SqueezeCenter through your android device. You can find it by searching
for 'SqueezeDroid' in the android market. It's still in development,
but has a pretty good set of features even though some might be buggy.

Current (semi) implemented features include:

* Choose/switch player to control
* Browse and add music by artist/album/song/genre/new music
* View album art/song info with animated display
* View/remove artis/album/song from playlist
* Sync players
* Playback control (pause,next,back,shuffle,repeat,volume,seek)

It's open source, you can find the code in the squeeze-droid project on
google code at http://code.google.com/p/squeeze-droid/.
Issues/patches/graphics/suggestions are welcome!

This is very much still alpha code, but I thought I'd throw it out
there if anyone is interested. Please try it out and tell me what you
think. I've attached some screenshots to this post.
