ships by UPS ground. Much cheaper by mail but I am still saving. have
not seen any cheaper.

The seller has more of these. I am not getting anything for telling
this list . I just thought I would inform listers as these seem to bee
in demand.

The page I referred to the other day says the silvers can be flashed
to Gold specs.

If you are interested email off list and I will send info
I picked one of these up a year ago for the higher price and convinced
the seller to ship it via mail to Canada, UPS being even more ridiculous
up here. They are incredible cards, working perfectly with all three
OSes I have tried it with. Haven't tried the flashing to Gold but I'm
only on B so it probably wouldn't change anything. Card is very fast and
very stable. If the antenna is cheap, you might consider it as summer is
coming (up here anyway) and the backyard beckons.
Thanks for the notice, I may pick up another couple.

To be specific it adds 128 bit encryption. It still retains the 64

Not really. Adding another 32 MB of Ram to max it at 64 will likely be

Run a plain background in reduced color or even gray scale. No virtual memory.
Set up a RAM disk and copy programs to it before running them from RAM.
Run a minimum of extensions. Set up extension sets that have the
minimum for the program task. Set up several and switch according to
the work you need to do.

minimum size on icons and text.
Keep program memory allocations as high as OS overhead and physical
RAM will allow but you will only run 1 program at a time.

OS 8.1 should be the best for this as it has a small overhead to begin with.
You could even try 7.53 perhaps. But 8.1 is probably more stable, not
sure . It's been a long time.

All I can think of for now.
Mine has 40 MB and runs 9.1 but it's a Hog for this machine. I just
like the features.

Fast enough to do good Photoshop on smaller pics . And handles
Clarisworks quite well. Even in thousands of colors. at 166 MHz. And
800X600 aspect.
ITunes works well if run alone. And will even do small graphic visuals.

How many selling? Those he bought from may exaggerate. Those he sold
to would be less inclined.

A money order from USPS may have some protection. Since it's Federal.
Haven't kept up on it.

I have been burned twice on ebay. by sellers. out of about 75.
Never burned on the swap list. out of about 2 dozen maybe.

Many don't trust themselves with credit or debit cards. That does not
necessarily mean they are not trustworthy.

Many can't get either which may or may not indicate they are trustworthy.
Some just don't like modern credit methods etc. Or giving personal
info to agencies or out on the web.

And for those doing a volume business but avoiding taxes or other
complications M.O.s are harder to trace.

It isn't necessary to use Paypal with a credit or debit card--a checking
or savings account is usable too. I for one refuse credit card paypal
payments--they nick you too much for the privilege of that--tho checking
account transfers are free.

100% feedback - I wouldn't worry about them.
Always use money Orders (USPS ) on eBay.
Same here. Some people are against Paypal citing security concerns with
storing your Credit card or banking info on a third-party site. I think
Paypal's been compromised before. I usually go by transactions.

I guess I just know several folks who don't trust or believe in
newfangled ways Probably a function of my age and social level.

When debit cards were new many were saying it's the mark of the
Beast ! They'll tattoo that number on you next !

Etc.
Little did they know the tattoos are unnecessary They just track you
by satellite registration of your particular heat signature ! 8*()

Digital sensors are THAT sensitive now !

I don't understand why people use Paypal. They have a terrible record
for being used to scam people out of their money. Your purchases are
guaranteed..but you have to pay a small service fee to get your
money back so Paypal makes a profit on someones illegal activity. And
who do you think pays for the losses ? It doesn't come out of Paypal's
profits. The customers pay for it just as in all credit card losses
and the scammers move on.

The best thing to use for on-line purchases are the US Post Office
money orders. They are as good as cash and can be cashed at any US
post office. If you are ripped-off, the US Postal Inspectors office
will be working to get the thieves stopped and possibly get your item
or money back. I like the idea that justice will be served better much
better than just a refund.

Personally I won't send an individual I have never dealt with any more
$$ than I can afford to loose. There's nothing I have to have that
bad.

I watch Ebay local auctions by doing a search by zip code and if you
are in a large metro area you can find a lot of stuff that can be
picked up. You can avoid outrageous shipping costs by picking up Ebay
stuff too. I have found some good deals because the high shipping cost
on heavy objects can keep people from bidding. If I don't have to pay
shipping (email the seller first) I can afford to bid more. And I can
meet the person I'm buying it from.

Thanks!

All your responses are helpful. All of his trans on Ebay were buys. No
sells. So it is harder to watch. I will go with the USPS money order. I like
that idea of them going after them if they don't send it.

Personally, I like paypal--never had a problem with them yet (knocking
wood.) And this 50+ year-old really likes those newfangled ways--I can't
even remember when I paid a bill using a check rather than my bank's free
online billpay. (Did you know that Paypal also offers free online
billpay--tho it has to be a provider that's already set up to accept
electronic payment. My bank's system will cut a check and mail it for me,
say, to my Dr. Paypal won't. But they cover a very large number of
utilities, credit cards, etc.)
