Script Location & Listing

2004-05-23 Thread Nick Keck

I have just downloaded PowerMail 5. I notice the scripts that I had
active in version 4 are present, but I can't find where they are stored.
I can find the Scripts folder just fine, but it doesn't seem to have all
of those that appear in the menu. The one I specifically wish to move to
the top of the list is "Delete Message Immediately."

What I'd like to do is change the order of appearance of some of the rest
as well.

Where are the additional scripts stored and how can I adjust their order?

Appreciate any advice. I am on digest mode.

Re(2): Paying for 5.0

2004-05-23 Thread Lane Roathe

It was prudent of CapitalOne to flag the account for suspicious activity,
esp. w/so much identity theft going on. However, after the card holder
confirms the charge is valid, the account should have been immediately
released.

It's a shame, they used to be the best (that I could find anyway). Now,
they are raising my rate to 18%, adding fees and customer service has
gone down hill. Hard to justify when I can get a competitors card at 0%
for 12 months and 8% fixed thereafter, and their customer service can't
be any worse.

I'm just waiting for my new card to arrive so I can close my final
CapitalOne account.

double click in title bar problem

2004-05-23 Thread Bob Parks

I think there has to be some setting to control this, but I cannot find
it anywhere...

I normally read new mail from the "Recent Mail" window. When I double
click on a message to open it in a new window to read it, the message
will open up with the title bar appearing on top of where I just double
clicked. The new window interprets this as a "minimize" command and
shrinks itself down into the dock, which is NOT what I want to have happen.

It would be fine to just disable the "double click title bar to minimize"
function, since the yellow button right next to there does the same thing.

Is there any way to get around this behaviour?

Thanks

I've just got a UK issued CapitalONE card last month and had no problems
using it in the US for the last three weeks, hopefully the reverse be true.

Enjoy your trip.

Upgrade/Import old Database

2004-05-23 Thread Christian Meenaghan

Ok, got my key in email for PowerMail 5, registered my copy of PowerMail
5 with the new key. At this point I was expecting a prompt asking about
updating my old database..as per the help file..

Note to current PowerMail users: Upon first launch, PowerMail 5 will
suggest either updating your database or creating a new one. Converting
your database is a one-way street, so make sure you have followed the
previous step first.

however, that did not happen. now, how can i move my old database from
PowerMail 4 into Powermail 5? I did not try any of the betas before this.

Thanks

I am interested too, along with the way Apple's mail handles the "other"
signatures as well -this is more and more needed for contacts with my

I would be truly delighted, but we will be on a river cruise vacation
going from Berlin to Prague so I don't think that will be possible.

Thank you for your very kind offer and, again, CTW is in no way at fault,
it's CapitalOne's procedures that are the problem.

Over a US$30 charge? What if it were late at night and I were out of
gasolene, had no cash and only a CapitolOne card? What if there were a
long line behind me at the supermarket and this had happened -- how
embarrassing! There are many situations where there could be serious
problems because a credit card could no longer be used and all because of
a US$30! In July, my wife and I will be in Europe and I'm guessing
CapitolOne may stop my credit after some small transaction over there. It
certainly pays to have more than one credit card.

Whenever an email is directly filtered into the trash, I still receive
the email alert (the magnificent swiss cuckoo); it would be nice to turn
this off for emails that I do not wish to read in the first place.

I have had this happen to me although not with CapitalOne. However in my
case the card company phoned me to query a couple of transactions before
they did anything. With the prevalence of identity theft, I think it is
something we will increasingly have to get used to.

You may be "suffering" from the credit cards terms allowing you to cancel
of a transactions. Some CC organisations worry about "put of character"

Re: Paying for 5.0

2004-05-23 Thread Marlyse Comte

there are several reasons why something like that can look suspicious to
CapitalOne - does not need to be CTM's fault at all - could be enough
because it came not from the US but Switzerland. I would investigate
CapitalOne WHY they thought it is suspicious. I've had already a credit
card company think something suspicious because there had been no
activity on the card for quite a while and suddenly I bought something
with it. Just commenting this to the list w/o details IF it has something
to do with CTM is not very useful.

Paying for 5.0

2004-05-23 Thread Tom Miller

My CapitalOne credit card was charged for PM5.0 yesterday and CapitalOne
denied me use of my credit card today because they thought the charge was
suspicious. Embarrassing and potentially dangerous if I only had one
credit card, had no cash and was desperate for whatever I was trying to
charge.
