Re: messages moving from inbox UPDATE

2004-09-09 Thread Mikael Byström

Update:

I now have made a basic rebuild and compact, but not a low level one.
Messages are still gone or most in the trash. I also have these symptoms:

When sending, PM says Not enough Memory and 1 messages out of several
hang forever (even between restarts it is in sending mode even as
they're no connection going on. The other seem to go trough (as this one?
). I only have 2 swap files going. After a while PM crashes. I think this
the first time this happens to me.

PowerMail support suggested earlier for a similar problem as a last
resort, after a low level rebuild - which I still have left to try -, to
export to PM mailbox and reimport to a new user environment. I hope I
don't have to go there.

I said earlier:

Anyone else experienced this?:

Hundreds of messages move from the inbox between restarts of PM, some are
found in the trash, but some recent messages seem gone.

As you may recall I had a similar problem before, where messages moved as
they were read, but then they moved to the inbox. A rebuild fixed that
problem, so I'm turning to that now.

Hi, hopefully 3rd time asking is the charm... :-)

Is there a way, or a FAQ instruction, on logging in to a Hotmail account
with Powermail? Entourage sets it up for you automatically, so the info
is hidden...

What you have to fill-in into the POP or/and SMTP field, is a bit
different from mailserver to mailserver.
So best would be that you login (by web browser) to your hotmail account
and search there for the instruction you need.

As far as I know hotmail does not provide any standard API for its
service. Entourage likely works by virtue of Microsoft sleeping with its
own dog food (if you'll excuse the mixed metaphor).

After all, the purpose of hotmail is to make the user view ads, and that
benefit is defeated if mail is pulled by other means.

File Busy errors!

2004-09-09 Thread Jefferis Peterson

Getting a lot of these when I click on the html button to view in a web page:

File is Busy Error
Class=file, what =100, where = 4, err = -47

This is a bit annoying. What is the cause of this and what is the fix?

width of text in messages sent (wrapping)

2004-09-09 Thread gunnar madsen

I receive messages that vary widely in the width of the text (the
wrapping, I believe). Some are restricted to the left half of the
window, others fill the window from side to side completely.

In testing, messages sent to myself are restricted to the left half of
the window. Is there a way i can specify the wrapping characteristics so
that my messages are formatted to fill the window more completely?

Thanks,

Gunnar
