PM Truncates Text String
I've just added a new mail account that has a quite long domain name. In the "Mail Accounts" window > Receiving tab > Incoming mail server field I've inserted the "pop3." prefix followed by a 34 character string. After completing the settings I discovered that PM won't receive any incoming messages because, in some way, it had truncated the last seven characters of the incoming mail string. It actually cut off the characters that exceeded the field where they where inserted in, in the "Mail Accounts" window. Though, this happens after saving the Mail accounts window. In all the other fields this don't occur even though these fields are containing a larger number of characters than what they can actually display. Any suggestion? Thank you in advance. Giovanni

As a precaution, I tried to unsubscribe from an old address I used to receive messages from this list but they still come doubled. Perhaps it takes a little time for PM's server to validate the operation. Sharing Same Email in Multiple Contacts
Hello, when adding a new contact in the address book sometimes i deal with two persons who share the same email address; this happens, for instance, with two little brothers who's real email is their father's. Unfortunately PM doesn't let me share the same email address in more than one contact in the address book. Is there any way to get around this? Thank you Rene, I tried with the filter you recommended, but it sends the messages just the same. This is how I set the filter up: Conditions If number of recipients To or CC > 1 Receive mode is not BCC Actions Display Alert "No BCC Set!" Move message into folder Folder Name When all conditions are met, the alert displays correctly, but even if I don't close the alert window, after a few seconds the message is sent. Setting Criteria Before Sending Messages
Hello, I'm back to this list after a long absence. I would like to know if there's any way to avoid PM from sending messages unless certain conditions are met? For instance, when I send a message to a list it is some times important to have all the recipients changed to BCC. DB Message Full With Low # Messages
Hello This is the strange thing happened to me yesterday: PowerMail advised me that it can't handle a message database bigger than 2GB, so I selected some 40/50 messages stored in a folder since about a year ago, moved them to trash, and when told PM to delete the trash folder; an alert window then reported I was going to delete something like 67.000 messages. I really had something like 2.000 messages distributed in all folders. Probably, this has something to do with the fact I can't still see messages in the trash folder. Is it possible that some kind of invisible files are piled up somewhere in PM? How can the actual size of my message DB's be 1.91 GB with not more than 2000 visible messages? In any case, I'll try to proceed as if the only problem was the DB's size and would like to ask you: 1. Is the message database increased by the Address Book as well? 2. If compacting the Database, can I still read single messages? 3. What would you prefer between compacting the DB and exporting the messages? Thank you in advance Giovanni Andreani

Hello I can't see the messages stored in the mail trash folder even though PM tells me there are many messages in there. When I select all and delete PM then updates and tell me the mail trash folder is empty. How come they are invisible? PowerMail Spam Filter and SpamSieve
Thank you for the SpamSieve tips I was wondering if SpamSieve works filtering messages before PowerMail does. For example, let's say I've created a filter where Mr. White's mails are considered as spam and therefore immediately deleted. First of all, thanks for the help on the scripts regarding copying body's content (btw cheshirekat, the script works perfectly now). I've got three questions to supply to your attention: First: I'm one of those who filters incoming spam by applying rules. The problem now is that the phenomenon is increasing in volume and I would like a software to help me do the job: how efficient is SpamSieve in doing this? Second: I've got about 400 email addresses of spammers active in the last twelve months. Is there any use if I propose to share them with the members of this community? And is this possible for the moderator of this list? Third question: I'm looking to purchase a list of email addresses for commercial advertisement; can you eventually indicate a serious company who provide such lists? Thank you in advantage Giovanni

Hotmail versus PowerMail
Hello for work reasons I had to buy a hotmail service. Unfortunately, the "settings" section on the hotmail site is very poor and OE oriented. Thank you in advance Giovanni Andreani
