[QGIS-Developer] QGIS in UbuntuGIS (join forces)
Hi QGIS devs, some time ago I took care about maintaining GRASS packages in UbuntuGIS project (unstable and experimental PPAs - currently I am working on new QGIS 2.18 packages, see ubuntugis-experimental). It also includes related gdal-grass and qgis packages [1]. QGIS packages are maintained transparently in git repo [2] (ubuntu/trusty + xenial) branches. It would be nice to join forces. QGIS now offers its own PPA with ubuntugis dependency [3]. I see two options: * promote UbuntuGIS Unstable (which contains fresh versions) * copy packages from UbuntuGIS unstable to your PPA (or in opposite direction). The most important would be to maintain packages in same git repo [2]. What do you think? [QGIS-Developer] QgsField, precision, export
Hi, I am having problem with attributes which have defined precision, eg. QgsField("ader_microsvh", QVariant.Double, prec=4), The values are displayed correctly when loading layer to the memory (see left part of screenshot), but after exporting such layer to SHP, the values are lost (zero value with given precision), see right part of screenshot. Tested with QGIS 2.14 and 2.18. Do you have any idea how to fix this issue without dropping precision? [QGIS-Developer] pyqgis: adding features to SQLite layer
Hi, I found difference when adding features (addFeature) to SQLite layer in QGIS 2.14 and 2.18. In QGIS 2.14 ogc_fid (primary key) column in not shown in attribute table. Feature ID does not need to be set, by adding feature the ogc_fid sequence is automatically incremented. Everything works, first feature has ogc_fid set to 0, second to 1, etc. In QGIS 2.18 ogc_fid column in show in attribute table. Adding feature is failing on same ogc_fid value, in other words, the ogc_fid value is not autoincremented. Even feature.setFeatureId() do not help. I solved it by adding ogc_fid value to the list of values passed to feature.setAttributes(). Then features are finally added to the layer. Is it really needed in QGIS 2.18 to add ogc_fid value to attributes? I would assume that this value is set by feature id or autoincremented. And I also wonder why setFeatureId() does not work. Thanks for clarification. [Qgis-developer] open vector data using specific GDAL driver
Hi all, I wonder whether it's possible to specify GDAL driver when creating QgsVectorLayer instance. The constructor allows passing uri, layer name and provider. Is there any way how to specify GDAL driver which will be used for opening datasource (let's say that we are working with datasource which can be open by two different GDAL drivers). composedURI = str(dbPath) + "|layername=" + dbTable layer = QgsVectorLayer(composedURI, layerName, 'ogr') Something like: sqliteDriver = ogr.GetDriverByName('SQLite') sqliteDataSource = sqliteDriver.Open(str(dbPath)) Thanks, Martin -- Martin Landa http://geo.fsv.cvut.cz/gwiki/Landa http://gismentors.cz/mentors/landa ___ Qgis-developer mailing list Qgis-developer@lists.osgeo.org List info: http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-developer Unsubscribe: http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-developer

[Qgis-developer] memory-based layers and projects
Hi, I have plugin which creates memory based layer and loads data into this layer using its own reader. """ class MyLayer(QgsVectorLayer): def __init__(self, name): super(MyLayer, self).__init__('Point?crs=epsg:4326', name, 'memory') def load(self, reader): for f in reader: self._process_row(f) # add features to the map layer """ The problem occures when user stores such layer in the project. Then the project file contains only: """ memory?geometry=Pointcrs=EPSG:4326field=ader_microSvh:(0,0)... """ So after loading the project, empty layer appears (with defined attributes), but with no points loaded. Is there any way how to define for such layer python code which would perform loading points using plugin reader when opening a project? Of course plugin could store (export) loaded data eg. into SQLite DB, but this is not the way I would like to go. Hi, recently I compiled QGIS on Trusty (12.04). I am facing to the problem reported as [1]. I have -- Found SIP version: 4.13.2 which has been correctly detected. Re: [Qgis-developer] QGIS GRASS plugin - modules upgrade
Hi, 2015-08-18 9:11 GMT+02:00 Radim Blazek radim.bla...@gmail.com: BTW, as Markus Neteler pointed out, there is a list differences between GRASS 6 and 7: https://trac.osgeo.org/grass/wiki/Grass7/NewFeatures#Replacedandremovedmodules https://trac.osgeo.org/grass/wiki/Grass7/NewFeatures#Renamedmodules https://trac.osgeo.org/grass/wiki/Grass7/NewFeatures#Optionschanges and a table used by the commands to advertise new parameters in case the user used the old style: https://svn.osgeo.org/grass/grass/branches/releasebranch_7_0/lib/gis/renamed_options If you upgrade a module definition in QGIS, please update also its status on https://grasswiki.osgeo.org/wiki/GRASS-QGIS_relevant_module_list I wonder why UI is not generated on the fly or during compilation? To maintain manually UI in QGIS is complicated and the result will be always out-of-date. Hi, 2015-07-22 8:31 GMT+02:00 Radim Blazek radim.bla...@gmail.com: Use WITH_GRASS7, GRASS_PREFIX7 and GRASS_INCLUDE_DIR7 for GRASS 7. Re: [Qgis-developer] QGIS 2.6 compilation on Windows
Dear Larry, 2014-11-19 23:09 GMT+01:00 Larry Shaffer lar...@dakotacarto.com: I think I ran into this recently. There was a commit in 2.6 [0] that apparently requires a newer version of flex or bison (bison 3.x, I think?) for record osgeo4w environment reports: flex --version flex version 2.5.4 bison --version bison (GNU Bison) 2.4.1 than is available with the GnuWin32 project as noted in INSTALL [1]. Instead I used the precompiled binaries available from the 'Win flex-bison' project [2] and specified the CMake paths: -D BISON_EXECUTABLE=C:/path/to/win_flex_bison-latest/win_bison \ -D FLEX_EXECUTABLE=C:/path/to/win_flex_bison-latest/win_flex OK, I downloaded executables from [2] and placed to my osgeo4w environment, then modified `package.cmd` -D BISON_EXECUTABLE=%O4W_ROOT%/bin/win_bison ^ -D FLEX_EXECUTABLE=%O4W_ROOT%/bin/win_flex win_flex --version win_flex 2.5.37 win_bison --version bison (GNU Bison) 2.7 Looks like the CMake find modules need updated to look for those binaries. I suppose you could also build the latest packages yourself. But I am still getting the same error. Rather that updating CMake file it would make sense to include required version of flex and bison into OSgeo4W environment I would say. Any idea how to solve this problem?
