Re: [Qgis-user] Atlas by year

2019-03-25 Thread Alexandre Neto
You need to create a layer, with a column called year, with each year in a
row. The layer does not need to have a geometry. Use that layer as the
coverage layer for atlas.

For the layer you want to filter by year, create a rule-based symbology,
and use the following rule/expression:

attribute(@atlasfeature, 'yea
r') = "year"

This compares the current atlas feature field year, to the layer year
column, and renders the features only if the years match.

Hope it helps.

2019-03-25 Thread Daniele Viganò
Dear Max,

thanks for reporting the issue.
The bug has been already fixed here
https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/pull/9621; a new build is available on COPR
(3.6.1-2).

The issue is however not preventing the installation to work properly.

Cheers,
Daniele

[Qgis-user] Atlas by year

2019-03-25 Thread Marco Antônio Ferreira Pedrosa
Hi all,

Sorry if s a silly question!

How to generate an atlas by a value in the attibute table? (i.e: Year).
QGIS Atlas would generate one map for each attribute value but not group by
year.

For each year, I want to show the features with a categorized symbology
(same for all years, but I want to show just the features from that year).

tnks in advance!

[Qgis-user] grid creation after points analysis

2019-03-25 Thread Eugenio Trumpy
Hi all,

I want to know if it is possible to create a model which has to to do the
following:

  1. import a points layer (A)
  2. analyse the A with a cell 100x100 km moving it with a 25 km step
  3. on each step (25km) a statistical analysis of the points falling in the
100x100 km cell has to be performed --> the statistical analysis has to do: a
histogram in frequency classes (so a point attribute has to be divided in
classes and for each class the points have to be counted) the output is the
value of the class where the 90% of the points fall.
  4. this analysis has to be replicated for each 25km step on X and Y
  5. the result should be a matrix 25km spaced on x and y where the cell value
is the point attribute value of the 90%

Is it possible with the available function in the QGIS toolbox? or it is
necessary the develop a custom function/plugin?

Thanks for any hints you can give me...

Eugenio

unfortuantely, the area is located in Germany, well-known for its

Hi,

I need an aerial basemap for my QField-project to be able to locate
positions. As QField has not the ability to navigate to a point or
indicate the direction of movement, provided only with a topographic
basemap, I'm stumbling through the forest and have a hard time finding
the positions.

The project area is huge, around 400 square kilometers! I have a Mrsid
file of the area of 1.6 GB with 20 centimeter resolution,
transformed with gdal_translate to tiff is 42.5 GB,
compressed with gdal_transform with jped-compression 50% 968 MB,
resampled to 40cm resolution and 50% jpeg has 295 MB

I used the QField sync plugin to generate a baselayer in gpgk-format
from this ,which has 540 MB with 40 cm resolution.

Unfortunately, on the tablet, the baselayer is loading so slow,
that it
is impossible to work with it. Each redraw takes around 10 seconds in
the small scale, rising to infinity in higher scales.

I wonder if there are other approaches recommendable, for example
splitting the image into separate layers for bigger regions, which I
could then turn on and off, or if I should prepare the image apart
from
using the plugins converter to gpkg.

Due to the enourmous amount of time needed to process the image on the
PC, a trial-and-error approach seems not to be feasable, so I ask
you if
someone can recommend an approach for such a huge beast.

Thanx in advance,

Bernd

Hi Bernd,

It's possible to load a WMS layer in your project for Q-field, maybe that's
a solution?
But then of course you need an internet connection all the time...

Re: [Qgis-user] QField: recommendations for aerial basemap preparation?

2019-03-25 Thread Matthias Kuhn
Hi,

There is a gis stackexchange question open regarding this which has some
good inputs to consider.

https://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/309379/choosing-raster-format-for-qfield

There is also some information in the QField documentation regarding
this topic (although that could benefit from some improvements from your
findings, there's an edit on github link at the bottom of the page ;) )

https://www.qfield.org/docs/project-management/dataformat.html#raster-data

Best regards

Matthias

Under Symbology - you can choose raster image marker. I use it for aerial
images next to points.

Emne: [Qgis-user] how to add a jpg figure near points

Hi to all,
I would like to add in my project some figures near my points.
I explain better,I have a shapefile of points that represent some
springs and I would like to associate for every point a figure (jpg
extension for example) that I did with another software (is a a
diagram used in hydrogeochemistry to show the water composition): so I
would like to see near every point a figure (I think it would be the
same if I wanted to associate a picture).

Thanks to all
