Re: [Ql-Users] SMSQ Reference Manual and QPTR manual online
The original QJump docs have embedded control codes (like \j, \b or \mn codes für l+r justifying, bold text and monospaced text.). They were printed with QPLQ (an inhouse QJump program) nearly as the way TeX prints. Far bejond text87. So, if someone can supply the original text, I can print it as a PDF so it looks the same as originally printed by QJump. Originality should be preserved ;-). Marcel Kilgus wrote: With all the different OS and release versions it's difficult to keep everything in sync. As you say. I too have a number of corrections, but no longer know whether they apply or not, as there were so many intermediate versions. Thus sms.sevt (trap #1, $3a) A0+ all preserved. My notes says HBA 3.04 smashed! iob.elin (trap#3, $4) was a terrible mess. I wrote to TT about it and he agreed, but I dont know it was ever fixed Theres more, but this is perhaps not the time/place.. Would be great if someone were to take on to edit these manuals. Perhaps the simplest for now would be for that someone to compile an Errata database and maintain it in some public place on the web? 2. It was not implemented for high colour modes. In this case I just remembered that Wolfgang fixed a whole bunch of A1 issues and figured this would have been among them. I'm very grateful to Marcel for this. I have both books, but they are big and clumsy, so a PDF (I hope it's searchable, haven't looked yet) will be *very* useful for the odd occasion when I need to refer to the docs. Re: [Ql-Users] SMSQ Reference Manual and QPTR manual online
Thank you, Marcel! BTW: I still find it a bit annoying, that Jochen had omit the original labels of all the TRAPs and Vectors as mentioned in the QLTG and used for years and still be present in a lot of include fles. I can still not understand, why Tony meant to rename them all in the context of QDOS. Ok, SMS was new, but it had been helpful to make a hint for all. And...what is DV3, Device Driver 3? Not heard of it. It is just mentioned at the beginning? Cheers...Ralf Another BTW: If someone provides the *original* txt of QPTR (with all the embedded ESCapes, Jochen has called them control codes), I can make a pdf with QPLQ to provide the original layout. - Original Message - From: Marcel Kilgus ql-us...@mail.kilgus.net To: ql-us...@q-v-d.com Sent: Friday, November 13, 2009 3:52 AM Subject: [Ql-Users] SMSQ Reference Manual and QPTR manual online Here's one thing that came out of the Swiss QL meeting: I've updated my page at http://www.kilgus.net/smsqe/development.html to include PDFs of the QDOS SMSQ Reference Manual and QPTR.
