as usual. The same permissions than the user that is running qmailadmin.
You could also have something wrong when configuring qmailadmin.
Please read the included documentation.

I can not specify it further, since my setup is non-standard.

[qmailadmin] Problem with qmailadmin at login

2006-10-02 Thread o omida parasita

Hello,

I have qmailadmin-toaster-1.2.9-1.3.1 installed from src.rpm.

I added a domain/postmaster password. I tried to login to qmailadmin
as postmaster for that domain nothing happened.

In the error logs I see: Error. Domain domain.com was not found in
the assign file, referer: http://domain.com/qmailadmin/

That domain is in /var/qmail/control/rcpthosts

Or does it use a different assign file? Which one is that?

Please help

Thanks

[qmailadmin] Problem accessing qmailadmin

2006-06-01 Thread Alessandro Di Maggio

Hi,

I've installed qmailadmin and all seems to work
fine. The problem is that when I try to login from the main page(located
in admin.mydomain.com/cgi-bin/qmailadmin/qmailadmin)the system doesn't
load the right page, but it"sends" me to admin.mydomain.com/cgi-bin/qmailadmin/
making the webserver answer me with a forbidden access error

I think that I've configured something wrong but
what?

The default configuration is for the qmailadmin binary to be at
/cgi-bin/qmailadmin, not /cgi-bin/qmailadmin/qmailadmin.

So, you either need to rebuild
with --enable-cgipath=/cgi-bin/qmailadmin/qmailadmin or else move the
binary to the default location.

And that's what I did. The cgi-bin directory is right, otherwise I'would not
see the main page...

[qmailadmin] problem with qmailadmin detecting vpopmail path

2006-02-20 Thread Jeremy Kister

I run qmailadmin/vpopmail in a large-ish organization with lots of
incoming mail servers, with a few different architectures.

/export/ is on a netapp, NFS mounted on all machines
/export/home/vpopmail/bin is a symlink to
/export/home/vpopmail/arch/arch/bin

arch is: `uname -s`-`uname -r | awk -F\. '{ print $1 }'`-`uname -m`

this way, all machines simply reference /export/home/vpopmail/bin, and
no matter what the architecture, it all works. include and lib are
referenced similarly.

while compiling qmailadmin, it is imperative that qmailadmin stay
architecture neutral. I thought to use
--enable-vpopmaildir=/export/home/vpopmail, because if qmailadmin is on
one of my sun sparcs, my freebsd machines need to be able to execute the
commands in .qmail-default.

There is a problem where qmailadmin reads
/export/home/vpopmail/include/vpopmail_config.h, sees VPOPMAILDIR and
then sets the vpopmail home directory to
/export/home/vpopmail/arch/SunOS-5-sun4u.

This yields:

| /export/home/vpopmail/arch/SunOS-5-sun4u/bin/vdelivermail '' foo

inside .qmail-default, instead of

| /export/home/vpopmail/bin/vdelivermail '' foo

Just go get going, I edited
/export/home/vpopmail/include/vpopmail_config.h, and changed VPOPMAILDIR
to /export/home/vpopmail, compiled, and then changed it back.

There should just be an easier way, especially when specifying
--enable-vpopmaildir during configure.

Tilly,
I had the same issue with qmailadmin from portage. qmailadmin is
hardcoded to assume that use you the format Maildir. If you are using
.maildir qmailadmin will not work.

The ebuild is supposed sed this, but it didn't for me. I went to
inter7.com and downloaded the source for qmailadmin and changed it
myself, then compiled. And now it works.

apache-1.3.29-r1

qmailadmin-1.2.0_rc2-r1

This version uses .maildir. And also when i log into wmail i dont use the

email address for the username login for the site and then i would put the
domain that the email was from. Sorry that may be a little confusing.

[qmailadmin] Problem compiling qmailadmin 1.2.0 against vpopmail 5.4.0...phantom /tmp/vpopmail directory

2004-02-11 Thread qmadmin
I'm attempting to compile qmailadmin 1.2.0 against vpopmail 5.4.0 with the
following configure statement:

./configure --prefix=/usr \
--enable-cgibindir=/var/www/qmailadmin/cgi-bin \
--with-htmllibdir=/usr/share/qmailadmin \
--enable-imagedir=/var/www/qmailadmin/htdocs/images \
--enable-htmldir=/htdocs \
--enable-cgipath=/cqi-bin/qmailadmin \
--enable-autoresponder-bin=/usr/bin/autorespond \
--enable-ezmlmdir=/usr/bin \
--enable-ezmlmidx=y \
--enable-domain-autofill \
--disable-ipauth \
--enable-vpopmaildir=/var/www/vpopmail

This gives the the post configure output of:

  qmailadmin 1.2.0
  Current settings
---
 cgi-bin dir = /var/www/qmailadmin/cgi-bin
html dir = /htdocs
   image dir = /var/www/qmailadmin/htdocs/images

   ezmlm dir = /usr/bin
   ezmlm idx = yes
 mysql for ezmlm = yes
help = no
modify quota = no
 domain autofill = yes
modify spam check = no

All looks good, but when I attempt to run make, there is a /tmp/vpopmail
being appended on the gcc line, so it fails to find the vpopmail includes
and libs:

I was able to clean out /tmp/vpopmail from the Makefile manually and compile
successfully. Can anyone point me to what is going wrong? Where is
/tmp/vpopmail coming from? Why isn't my
--enable-vpopmaildir=/var/www/vpopmail being honored?

See if they are willing to apply this patch:

That should work as a temporary fix until we release the next stable
 version of qmailadmin.

Try restarting your Mac (or at least logging out and back in).

Then, visit http://www.tomlogic.com/cgi-bin/envtest.cgi and tell us
what it says for HTTP_ACCEPT_LANGUAGE.

What are the settings in your International System Preferences Pane?
I'm pretty sure Safari uses that information to tell the browser what
languages it prefers.

There's a good chance that we're not doing a proper job of interpreting
that information though. I think that the current QmailAdmin codebase
ignores the q= settings in HTTP_ACCEPT_LANGUAGE and just takes them in
the order they appear.

If you uncheck Japanese (and the other languages you don't speak), you
should get the language you want. You'll probably have to log out and
back in again.

If you still have trouble, let us know what version of qmailadmin your
ISP uses, since we've made updates related to default language in
recent development releases.

yes, there was some problem (at least with qmailadmin 1.0.12) with
evaluating sublanguages. So if you selected German/German Language
(=de) it showed german text. If you selected Austrian/German Language
(=de-at) it ignored that entry.
So if you have some older qmailadmin version, my guess is that ja
is your first entry with just two letters, all above have xy-zz.
Try to select just de and make it highest priority.

When I look into the source-code of the qmailadmin page I see

 meta http-equiv=content-type content=text/html; charset=euc-jp

My ISP says, that it must be an

 meta http-equiv=content-type content=text/html; charset=iso-8859-1

But what can I do with my Browser to change this ? Is this a generic
problem
 with the Safari Browser ?

Your browser send wrong HTTP_ACCEPT_LANGUAGE, try to modify it?

Re: [qmailadmin] Problem with qmailadmin and Browser Safari

 Hi,

 here is the output:

 HTTP_ACCEPT_LANGUAGE is de-de, ja;q=0.25, en;q=0.50, de;q=0.75

so the language settings in the browser are still:
de-de
ja
en
de

which evaluates in qmailadmin 1.0.6 to ja (de-de is ignored)

so maybe you tried to disable all languages except en and de,
but your browser doesn't think so ;)

--franz

P.S: I have not even heard of the browser Safari,
so I am sorry that I cannot help you further with the settings.
I'd go with Tom's advice and restart that stubborn beast.
