Re: [qmailtoaster] dumping my mysql-database

2007-12-06 Thread Johannes Weberhofer, Weberhofer GmbH
I recommend using

mysqldump vpopmail -p > vpopmaildb.sql

then create a new vpopmail database at the new server and insert it at the new
server using the following lines

mysql vpopmail -p < vpopmaildb.sql

The dump/insert commands work also on different mysql version, inserting the
database itself (as it had been suggested) I do not recommend.

Best regards,
Johannes Weberhofer

Can I use scp to copy all my mailboxes from my old server to new seerver ?

[qmailtoaster] VQADMIN Problem

2007-12-06 Thread James Ecker

I have a strange one for everyone. I am using the lastest qmailtoaster on
CentOS 5.1 x86_64, installed without any problems. My problem is I have ONE
domain I created that I cannot not manage from vqadmin, yet all of the other
domains are able to be managed. When I try to manage this domain I get an
internal error 500. I have followed other suggestions of verifying
dir_control.cur_users is zero, still same problem. I have deleted the domain
and verified the directory has been deleted from vpopmail/domains then recrated
it, but still ended up with the same problem only for this domain. Again, I can
create a domain by any other name and no problems. Any one have any ideas?
Thank you in advance..

[qmailtoaster] QmailAdmin Problem

2007-12-06 Thread James Ecker

I have installed the latest edition of QmailToaster successfully CentOS 5.0 and
everything worked fine until I updated to CentOS 5.1. After updating to 5.1 I
lost the domain administrator, usually postmaster, for existing domains. If I
create a new domain I am able to administer the domain through QmailAdmin, but
domains created before the update no longer can be administered through
QmailAdmin. I have tried the suggestion of using vmoduser -a, but that did not
help..

Any suggestions would help.

Re: [qmailtoaster] qmail is officially public domain

2007-12-06 Thread Justice London
The plan sounds, sound... but I would worry about putting a yum update
for this anywhere near a cronjob. There have been enough as far as
issues I've seen when dealing with normal system updating via automated
yum, let alone mail. If nothing else, I would think it a good idea not
to make that default.

There have been several people report problems with Vqadmin. The response has
most often been that Vqadmin is broken and should not be used. I'm not sure if
your problem is the same but have you tried to create the domain from the
command line?

[qmailtoaster] qtprune

2007-12-06 Thread Sergio Minini {NETKEY}
Hey there,
I modified the qtprune script, trying to purge the Trash folder and making it

After running several times, I still have the files in

Heres the script I use, with my remarks for posting it here.
