is it possible to add disclaimer on every outgoing email ?
perhaps is there new patch for current qmt 1.4.x
or maybe this feature will available on version 2.0.x

Not a good way I can think of in the 1.3 branch, but in the 2.0 branch
you will be able to do this I believe.

[qmailtoaster] QControl RPM install problem

2009-06-10 Thread Patrick Ring
I'm attempting to install QControl (unlimited... just purchased) and
after I use the command:
[r...@mail02 ~]# rpm -Uhv QControl-1\[1\].1-1.0.2.noarch.rpm

I'm getting the following error:
error: File not found by glob: QControl-1[1].1-1.0.2.noarch.rpm

I've tried re-downloading the file and trying again, with the same
result.

I'm running CentOS 5.2 and have a very up-to-date QMT running (just ran
newmodel)

What should I look to first?

OK. I'm answering my own question. (sorry if I'm a pest lately)
Apparently the [1] brackets in the file name causes some problem with
processing the rpm request.
I had to rename the file (without [ and ] brackets and re-run the
rpm.

[qmailtoaster] Voting on VqAdmin reminder

2009-06-10 Thread Jake Vickers

Just a reminder to come and vote on how you want to see VqAdmin handled.
So far out of 17 votes we're looking at writing a CLI utility to replace
it with Leave it alone in 2nd place.
If we end up with the CLI route I will just move VqAdmin into an
optional directory where you can still install it if you really want to.

For those that have not voted yet, you have about a week left to vote.

That interim result sure puzzles me. If people are capable enough to use
the CLI, why don't they simply use the commands in /home/vpopmail/bin/?
Save a little typing? I don't get it. But then again, that's not
uncommon. ;)

I imagine they're envisioning that we'll whip up something like the menu
for QTP to handle the vpopmail functions.
That's just my guess though. I'll start to rough out something but then
let the community take the lead and build it the way they want. Then
I'll package it up and add it to the site.

RE: [qmailtoaster] Voting on VqAdmin reminder

2009-06-10 Thread Patrick Ring
From the point of view of a user/administrator, it is more effective to
work from a web-based interface than a CLI. Especially when you can't
always be at an office where you can get shell/ssh access.

Though the Webmin command interface could be easily used when you can't
get ssh too.

Shouldn't matter. I'm 100% Linux here so I can't even test in IE without

Does it still give you the error? I turned off the captcha
