Hi All, Am using Taps concept in qmail. In this mail forwading from rajesh@x:ven...@x.org we have written the rule. But the mail sent to kumar.raj...@xxx.org also forwarding mails to ven...@xxx.org. We have tested by disabling the taps rule. But that time mails are not forwarding. Kindly give your feedback asap. Hi all, Good morning !!! We are maintaing q mail in our Organization, from today morning our client those who are using outlook are not able to accessing emails. The error which throwing is asking password frequently if user providing password again it asking for password. Mean while all the same users are able to access Webmail with out any issue. Hi, I need a clarification, can i know any way to take all outgoing mail copy to backup mail id for a domain. We are already using Taps method to take a copy of all mails. I have two type of users. 1. Who uses mail inside the office. 2. Who uses mails outside the office. My Static mail server receives all the mails for the domain. Hi Eric, I would like to know basic RAM usage detail in qmail server. Commonly i will transfer 5000 to 1 mails (Send / Receive) per day through web based only. Most of the mail content have attachment. In my domain am going to configure around 1000 users. So kindly update the what would be the minimum or maximum RAM usage -- it will take to process the all above mentioned requirement. We will use Dovecat or courier IMAP. Hi all, When i tried to put telnet in my mail server. Getting below error. What will be the problem and how to fix [root@mail bin]# telnet x.x.x.x 110 Trying x.x.x.x... Let's be clear here - in QMT there is no limit to the size of a mailbox, except for the storage allocation on the filesystem in which it is stored (or the quota established). This is because the Mailbox in QMT is NOT A SINGLE FILE - it is a folder, with subfolders used to organize things, and each message being a separate file in one of those sub-folders. HOWEVER, if you're having trouble in QMT (and assuming courier-imap squirrelmail), and the issue is the number of messages (not really size-related), then you can do what I did for a client who assumed that, like when he ran into this problem on Exchange, it would take many hours of compressing, repairing, and/or re-indexing to fix... My fix (outlined below) took 10 minutes total! I simply went into his Maildir inbox and created new Maildir folders for each year (he had 8 years worth of e-mails). (NOTE: These were Maildir folders, so each had a cur, new, and tmp sub-folder). Lastly, I used the find command to move everything dated 2005 from the Inbox cur folder to the new 2005 sub-folder (again, actually to the *cur *subdirectory).. then I did it again for 2006 and so on up to 2010... I left him with only 2011 and 2012 messages in his actual inbox, then forced Courier to rebuild the message indicies for each (by removing the old indices and re-accessing from the client). Solved his Squirrelmail problem instantly... (NOTE: Outlook creates a pseudo-PST file for each IMAP account -- and it being a PST file, it has the limits of a PST file in that version of outlook... so this solution may not work for everyone in every giant inbox situation...) One final note - for this same user, I had to do the same to his Sent folder -- similiarly HUGE after 8 years of use! I hope this helps some... What do you see in your server's logs which should relay the messages from your webmail when you try to send the message? Can you connect to the smtp port of your smtp server from your webmail server (test for example with telnet)? What does your webmail config look regarding smtp?
