Hey Nurcahyo,

Let's see which one of those was causing a problem. I'd recommend
doing two tests:

1) Remove the -D from /var/qmail/supervise/smtp/run and see if it
still retains the speed.

2) If the first test remains fast, then you will have to re-add the
blacklists, one at a time. That way you'll see if one of the
blacklists is bad or slow to respond.

Hello List,

When you say edit the hostname what hostname would that be, I edit my 
file with the fqdn for the machine but then it started to complain after 
I restarted qmail, said something like tcpserver: fatal: unable to 
figure out port number for -c if I change it back to what it was saying 
just 'hostname' and restart qmail then it all works like a a charm 
again, what should I replace the hostname with since fqdn or just the 
domain name don't want to work at all.?


Any other tips and tricks to speed it up would also be appreciated greatly.

I 
faced similar issues with i) and ii). I suspect it is because the QT install 
scripts only recognises cn.dn and not cn.cn.dn. You can actually change them to 
what you suggested, but there is a possibility it might affect your webmail 
(only minor issues - look up the recent posts for details).

Have you tried on here:

Follow the links to the installation scripts or the tutorials, and be  
sure to change the architecture or distribution entries in the  
scripts to reflect yours.


I believe for yours, that would be fdr40, same as cent4 (Centos 4)
