Hey...

For those of you who post regularly (as well as those who do not or just
lurk) I was wondering if you all could tell the rest of us how long you have
been on this list?

I found it in the latter part of 1995 and never unsubscribed except for six
months when we were living in temporary quarters at one time around 2000 so
it has been 12 1/2 years for me or so. During the last 12 1/2 years I have
told at least four people about this list because they had not heard of it.
They know who they are. :-)

Anyway, it would be refreshing to see how long y'll all have been on the
list.

Happy new year to you all!

Interesting project. Wish you loads of luck. Perfect Environment, may not
be achievable. Why?
Because no two people/quads are alike. Hence the perfect environment for
you could be 180 degrees different from me. And who is more important.
(just kidding)

Shepherd Hospital, in Atlanta has a good working model program and you
should consider your venture with their guidance down there. It may not work
as
well in Minneapolis with 10 inches of snow, as it does in Atlanta.

I'm also sure that Craig Hospital, RIC and Kessler Hospital also have
successful working models in their areas. Perfection, cost money. To
consolidate
the resources, one finds the nursing home answer as the best, lol.

I'm hoping to learn from your experiences and hope that you have the time to
continue to let us know about your achievable goals and how successful you
are.

Got news for you.

Life isn't fair or free.

This ISN'T a socialist nation.

It doesn't sound like your living in a cardboard box or starving.

In some other countries most of the population does.

Is life hard?

Hell yes, but a lot of people today have somehow got the idea that it's
somebodies responsibility to provide for them.

Guess what?

It's not.

I served our country during Nam, and since my accident almost 12 yrs ago,
the VA has taken good care of me (much better than 8 yrs ago). If I had
children, they too would be getting healthcare.

So I'll go along with your thought that every-able bodied citizen should
have to serve the community in some form for at least 2 yrs.

The rich already pay over 37% in income taxes (unless you're the klintons
who somehow mange to pay almost nothing on their

$ 40,000,000 (don't just take my word for it, check it out yourself)

The top 10% already pay 90% of the taxes.

However,

DRUG COMPANIES, HMO's, and many perscription drug plans are hosing us. I
have to pay that monthly drug fee even though I'm lucky to get my scripts
from the VA for nothing, so instead of complaining about that mo payment, I
figure it helps keep other peoples payments lower.

We lose over 20% of our Medicade dollars to illegal aliens

The Democrats pushed NAFTA through and gave China most favored trade status.

Guess where our manufacturing base went? Along with the jobs, the tax base
was loss.

The Liberals won't let States use Cons for hard labor, we sure could free up
a lot of tax dollars letting them build roads.

I've been an INDEPENDENT since 1976.

I've long held that lawyers being politicians was a monopoly and a conflict
of interest.

Ohio has PROBLEMS, been hearing about them for years now.

Medicaare and Medicaid varies from State to State.

I know IL gets better services than IN, but I can't see living there just
because of it. (and I'm ~ 12mi from the state line), can't stand their left
winged politics.

Being poor in the USA is better off than over 1/3rd of the worlds
population.

We're far better off than Americans during the great deression OR WWII.

BTW, you ought to check for utility assistence through your County trustee,
and shop around for a dif drug provider.

hidden tax on the poor. I personally payed out over $2,000 on stuff that use
to be covered by Medicare or Medicaid oir Waiver, each of these so called

virtually homeless. If you add up everything they stopped paying for and

My neuropathy is really getting the best of me. I am currently taking 400
mg of Lyrica two times a day, in addition to Vicodin 750 three times a day.
My feet, legs, both hands, and right arm hurts so bad all the time.

My doctor has prescribed a Fentanyl patch. I looked this medication up on
WebMD, and it has a warning from the FDA regarding deaths due to the use of
this medication. I read the comments on the website from those who use it,
and they swear by it. They comment on how much it has helped their pain.
But there was also a comment from one user on the severity of the side
effects.

My question is this: does anyone on this website use this medication or have
you used it in the past and what do you think of it. I appreciate any
comments that you can give.
