Yeah they are great, he did all of my neck surgeries and his nurse is definitely one of the best. Re: [QUAD-L] Need Help, too much fiber ..........
Well, Every program is different but with me there is always a hard section to start that needs to be pulled out then the looser stool starts coming out fairly easy. I take an orange bisacodyl pill, 2 majic cleanse, eat fiber cereal and fruit the night b4 and sometimes a beer. I use the majic bullet suppossitories, go every other day. Usually im on about an hour just to make sure its all out..at the end like a clear stuff will come out. Some folks try to run a looser program but then every time they bend over they get a surprise. ron c7 --- On Wed, 8/12/09, shellbell5...@aim.com wrote: From: shellbell5...@aim.com Subject: [QUAD-L] Need Help, too much fiber .. RE: [QUAD-L] Magic Bullet Suppositories
I have the same problem, but I thought it was just me getting older and on pain meds. Greg _ In my opinion, you are 100% correct that the potency of the magic bullet has diminished significantly since it was pulled off the market some years ago. The worst part is the magic bullet has some sort of a addictive quality to it. I was unable to go effectively with any other suppository. The beginning of all of my bowel problems started when they pull these things off the market and even though I am doing considerably better now, I'm still not back to where I was back then. Then again I'm considerably older now.

Re: [QUAD-L] syrinx
due to severe burning pain I had an MRI taken a few years ago. The first radiologist to read it said "no abnormalities", everything looks normal. About a year later I took the images to a neurologist, he looked at them for a few seconds and told me I had a syrinx. After looking at syrinx images on the Internet and noticing they didn't look anything like my images, I sent them to Dr. Falci. He told me I had posttraumatic tethering due to SCI. No syrinx, no sign of a fluid filled cavity. Although he said there was nothing that could be done surgically because I wasn't losing any function, I was very surprised and grateful that he and his nurse took the time to look over the MRIs and give me his opinion without asking for anything in return. Wow Tim - what an adventure for sure. I tipped over backwards leaving my apartment in Phoenix in the summer many years ago. It was 9:00 am and already 100 degrees heading for 115. Luckily someone across the street saw the whole thing and came to my rescue. I had a few spills outside at night in the winter in Detroit too - got lucky to get help each time. There's something about being 'young n dumb'! Now I always have my cell phone in my pocket anywhere I go. I'm alone a lot and can't risk dying stupidly - you can't be lucky every time. I went down so damn quick that the only reaction I had was to block my knees from hitting me in the face after my head bounced off the floor. After that I had to get my right leg unstuck from between my armrest and backrest; I then had to get my chair out from under me. It became a matter of survival mode at this point; my phones were about fifteen feet away on my desk, I was home alone, it was 7:50 am and no one would be here until 2 in the afternoon. My first thought was to try and get to my phone; I realized that would be nearly impossible, so I was able to get my arm under our futon and get up on my elbows. After getting to my elbows I then worked my way to a window; I saw my neighbor come out of his garage, so I started pounding on the window and yelling, my neighbor looked around and went back into his garage. So I started thinking I need to look for something to pad my hips from the hard floor. Just as I am looking around I saw my neighbor again; I started pounding and yelling again, this time he heard me. He came over with his cell and called my nurse; she arrived, and they picked me up. And believe it or not I was down only about ten minutes! I was pretty dang lucky; no injuries or bruises, just some sore muscles today. NOW- when nobody is home; my cell will hang from the back of my chair! ~peace~ Tim c5-c6 http://whoopiekat.com/crockscrib/index.htm WhoopieKat.com

Re: [QUAD-L] syrinx
I'll let you know Ron, We are trying to decide if I should see Picker at St.Johns or Wright, who you told us about. I saw picker after first being diagnossed with a syrinx in about 1999 or 2000. But my daughter works for Washington University as a medical Assistant and seems to think I should see Wright, thinking he may have more experience. I think both may be pretty good. Dr. Wice said it seems there may be 2 things going on and that the Sirinx is definitly growing also, and said go see a neuro to see what they think. It will be about a month to get in to see them. All the serious back pain and problems have started getting real bad this year--- It is real scary , I feel pain in area's of my back that used to have no feeling.I hope I don't loose function or ability to be transfered or load myself in our van. For years my thinking was---being paralyzed sucks, it can't get much worse than this ! ( But believe me I wish I could go back to prior this year--those were the good ole days, lol ) I take pain meds every day now and even driving around my neighborhood in my wheelchair I need to go slow over bumps and cracks or it makes the pains worse. ANYWAY-- I'll let you all know when I see the neuro surgeon.
