[QUAD-L] Invacare TDX 5 wheelchair
I have a question if anyone can give me information from the past. What would have been the price for a TDX 5 Invacare wheelchair -- Sip Puff in 2003 when they were made? I know this sounds silly. But I am being sued by the provider of this wheelchair to me when I received it in 2003. It seems as though my insurance did not fully cover it and it was an out of network expense. Well first of all I would have never accepted such an agreement. But we all know how insurance companies and the health care industry max out prices. Now I am being sued for $14,000. If anyone has any data or pricing of what this chair should have cost. They charged me $23,000. My contention is I'm sure it did not cost that much.I thank anyone for their help, Gary

I have one IP that has 5 clients and makes around 1400.00 a week. Re: [QUAD-L] Getting Stuck
Hello All, My caregiver was gassing up the Van (Brauhn conversion) while I was in it. She let the gas to fill automatically. I was in talking on my cell phone. And she was talking to some guy about 20 feet away. I smelled a lot of gas -- only to realize that after two years my new van gas tank was leaking. I was surrounded by gasoline. We call the guy out of the service station -- and he was mad because I made him hose down the gasoline before I would let anyone start the van. I have been dealing with a slight amount of depression over the last couple of weeks, but yesterday it finally broke. I don't know what changed my attitude, but it did change for the better. I think it's just because I began reading once again and am attempting to put my frustrations to the side for a while. There's nothing I can do about them anyway, so why fret. It seems like when I begin to feel depressed that I immediately get sexually frustrated. I am flabbergasted as to why this occurs, but it is nice to get out of the funk without the need of pharmaceuticals. I understand people need them sometimes, some don't take this as an anti-medication diatribe. I just simply know the way I feel and if I get to the point where I'm not respond in a timely manner, I'll go see my psychologist. I hope everyone will do the same for their own mental health. Are these hand cycles we're talking about motorized and your hands or placed on them (or strapped on them) for exercise, or do your own muscles do the work? I have absolutely no voluntary movement forward or back or up or down in my arms. I can raise my shoulders and that is absolutely all. As I said before, my neck is very strong. I can do a tilt back, drop my head backwards and lift it up-move side to side-up to 25 times before it gets tired. It took me a very long time to work up to that, but for all the suspended sling movement that I do, it is controlled completely by my shoulders, no triceps at all and very little bicep.
