2007-05-30 Thread John S.
If you set fire to it you'll kill most of the germs, but someone usually gripes
about the smoke. Alcohol and ammonia will get it clean but most bags disolve
after a few cleanings. I just donate mine to a landfill and ruin new ones. I
got a case of them on ebay and I'd like to use them up before I die.

I used it also but its to long ago. The 1 part bleach to 10 part water has
served me well.

My aide is not cleaning my Bedbag properly. Is there any kind of product that
can be used besides bleach. It is so easy to bleach the wrong things. Would
others please share their method of doing so. I remember when I was first
injured I used to order some cleaner from somewhere and then at one time I use
something called Green? It had getting mixed up.
I would like some new ideas as I am sure soap is not good enough by itself.

Thank you so much for your information.

I remember Lori giving her procedure a while back but I think she used bleach.
I have lost that post.

Hi KK,

It can be used 4:1 or 5:1, or 1:1, parts water/vinegar.

once again I'm the oddball. I wear my leg bag to bed. unhook it and lay it
beside me. most times I make it all night. other times I have wifey empty
it when she gets up to go. I dispose of it every month with my cath change.
when I used my Texas cath - I never washed it - just replaced it every 2 or
3 months.
