Re: [q] cheap isp

2004-12-16 Thread rmmip
Hello All

I also have been searching for a new ISP for my Quadra 840av and found these,
Mac Dial Up

-http://www.macdialup.net/ and ISP.com - dialup
http://www.isp.com/index2.html

Don’t know how reliable they are, but give then a looking over if any one is
interested.

I’m sick of receiving notices from my ISP every so often stating and I quote
“the monthly
fee for the AT&T
Worldnet Service plan in which you are currently enrolled will increase from
$16.95 per
month to $19.95 per
month.”

Annoyed

I've been told that Juno now works with Mac OS 9 and X:

I was using TheMacISP (formerly AppleISP) before I got cable; I think
they now charge $15 a month. 695online is probably as cheap as you are
going to find.

I'm pretty sure the low cost Juno and Netscape services will not work
with Macs.

Hi Phillip, I know this one works with Windows and Linux and it says it
works with Macs as well. Lots of local access numbers also. Plus it's only
$8.95 a month!

I use copper.net. Been very reliable, works with anything local numbers
for a lot of even small towns. It is $10/Month and I think if you buy a
year it is $8/months. I think you go with it and use me as a referral I
get a free month.

I have used it with Linux, Be, Windows, and of course Mac, even my
Quadra.
