There is a plugin for radius in the standard plugins distribution, and it works very well. However, I do not know if the netsaint engine or plugins will compile on non-unix machines, as I've never needed to try it. The best part about NetSaint is the cost. It's free. The worst part is configuring it for the first time, the config file syntax looks very strange at first, but you learn it quickly enough. -- Joel Michael Systems Administrator Worldhosting.org Ph: +61 7 3367 3555 Fax: +61 7 3367 3544 === Archive at http://www.starport.net/~radiator/ Announcements on [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, email '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' with 'unsubscribe radiator' in the body of the message.

RE: (RADIATOR) Monitoring with WhatsUp Gold
We found that ipMonitor better served our needs. http://www.mediahouse.com/ipmonitor/ It does run on NT (like what's up gold), but has a nice web interface (you can do everything from it), and has so far been very stable. There's a demo, though, so try it yourself. We had a choice between upgrading to the latest What's Up or switching to this, and I think we made the right decision by changing. The dependencies are a little wierd if you're used to What's Up, but they work quite well for large numbers of hosts once you figure it out. This is starting to get off topic, but feel free to contact me off-list if you want to ask me anything. --Doug Clements, LinkLine Communications > -Original Message- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On > Behalf Of Rick Stockley > Sent: Friday, April 13, 2001 11:17 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: RE: (RADIATOR) Monitoring with WhatsUp Gold > > > Would like to know which "better" monitoring product you switched to. > We are looking to improve our monitoring and would like input. > > Thanks > > == > Rick Stockley > Network Operations Center > Access US(tm) > 1-888-456-2080 ext 238 > == > > -Original Message- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On > Behalf Of Doug Clements > Sent: Friday, April 13, 2001 11:56 AM > To: James Laszko; [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: RE: (RADIATOR) Monitoring with WhatsUp Gold > > > Ipswitch has documented how to monitor most radius servers.. it worked ok > for us until we changed to a better monitoring product.. > > http://support.ipswitch.com/kb/WG-19980116-JB01.htm > http://support.ipswitch.com/kb/WG-19981217-CK02.htm > http://support.ipswitch.com/kb/WG-19980120-DD43.htm > > --Doug Clements, LinkLine Communications > > > > -Original Message- > > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On > > Behalf Of James Laszko > > Sent: Wednesday, April 11, 2001 12:34 PM > > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > Subject: (RADIATOR) Monitoring with WhatsUp Gold > > > > > > Does anyone have any experience setting up WhatsUp Gold to monitor a > > Radiator server? RE: (RADIATOR) Monitoring with WhatsUp Gold
Ipswitch has documented how to monitor most radius servers.. it worked ok for us until we changed to a better monitoring product.. http://support.ipswitch.com/kb/WG-19980116-JB01.htm http://support.ipswitch.com/kb/WG-19981217-CK02.htm http://support.ipswitch.com/kb/WG-19980120-DD43.htm --Doug Clements, LinkLine Communications > -Original Message- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On > Behalf Of James Laszko > Sent: Wednesday, April 11, 2001 12:34 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: (RADIATOR) Monitoring with WhatsUp Gold > > > Does anyone have any experience setting up WhatsUp Gold to monitor a > Radiator server?
