[SlimDevices: Radio] Alarm Volume not Working

2010-02-16 Thread miniwaites

Hello All,

I'm running 7.5 and I think that the Alarm Volume setting is not
working any more. So when the alarm goes off it will ignore whatever
you have set for the alarm volume and use the current volume setting. I
had muted mine last night and so although the alarm fired no problem
this morning it was unfortunately silent. Has anybody else seen this
before I file a bug report?

thanks

[SlimDevices: Radio] Paused at start, then shuts itself off

2010-02-16 Thread ashlandian

When I turn the radio on, the radio is paused. After so many seconds,
the radio shuts itself off. In order to get music, I need to press the
Play button (pressing the pause button also works). I believe that this
might be the problem that I've had with the alarm not going off (maybe
it actually goes off, but with no music, it just shuts itself off and I
don't wake up).

I've tried rebooting, removing the power, reinstalling software,
checking all menu buttons, etc., nothing seems to help and it's
consistant. The radio NEVER starts when it's first turned on.

Anyone know how to fix this??

anyway I think it doesn't work this way, otherways that means that if

My Squeezebox with my home made battery, starts recharging immediately
when plugged back in. It doesn't show a percentage, just an icon on the
screen. (filling up battery). When it's charged the battery icon has a
little lightening bolt in it.

[SlimDevices: Radio] Unscheduled Alarm

2010-02-16 Thread Honva

My radio in the last 2 days suddenly added an alarm itself. It is at
6:56am that the radio produced beeping sound. I have never scheduled an
alarm at this time. In fact, I have disabled all alarms both in SBS and
mySB.com and it still sounds in the morning. Have any one seen this
before?

No. Apparently the higher bitrate you can get with a paid Pandora

computer's web browser. See this thread:

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Squeezebox Server Version supporting Radio

2010-02-16 Thread Mnyb

7.4

The current version is 7.4.1

But i would suggest 7.4.2 which is very soon to be released, it has
many bugfixes for the radio, many of the 7.4.0 and 7.4.1 bugs seems to
be critical, no reliable alarm, that should be fixed with 7.4.2 .

So if you must upgrade today the 7.4.2 beta is a good one.

Captive portal networks aren't supported, but you may be able to have
the network admins add an exception for your MAC address.

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Dimming Dilemma

mmhh I tryed but with medium success As I put an icon in the schema
, it stops working. And from the alarm object I cant get the time. A
simple configuration with time, album title, song title and artist
works.
Ah, most important: never saw the album art.

About icons I have one question: to develop faster I put always the
same icon for all states (for example in wi fi strenght). May this cause
the screen saver not to work?

When I say that the configuration doesn't work I meaan that the radio
stops starting screen saver, or that the screen saver cannot be loaded.

Anyway, apart these little flaws, you did a great job. In this way
screen savers are highly configurable. Really cool!

OK - I just checked this over a number of times. The Alarm volume
setting definitely seems to be broken. The alarm will sound at whatever
volume the radio is set to for 'normal' play. I'll file a bug.

There is a bug with all icon elements besides the covericon, will try
to release a new version tomorrow, just need to test it a bit more
first.

Rikk;517599 Wrote:

That's strange, it works perfectly here. Unless you've set the order
parameter it's placed behind the clockimage but in front of the
background. So if you have configured a clockimage and it isn't
transparent png, it could be that the cover is placed behind it. I think
you will need to have a png image, jpg files won't be transparent.

You can try to hit the Export button for the style and post it here
and I'll take a look at it.

There is a bug for all icons at the moment, after I've fixed that it
should work. It doesn't matter if you use the same image for all states.

Could you not solve this by allowing NAT through? It is possible to
NAT in and out of the same interface. A lightweight HTTP proxy would be
another option. Then a client routing through the Radio could do the
captive portal nonsense (credit card, login, whatever) and the IP would
then be permitted through.

Not ideal of course, but better then no solution at all.

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Unscheduled Alarm

2010-02-16 Thread ftlight

I'm running on the 7.5 embedded nightlies, and a few days ago I had a
similar experience. My Radio started playing BBC Radio 4 at 4AM -
needless to say, my wife and I weren't too thrilled. There had been no
recent changes to my alarm settings, and there were no alarms set for
this time on my server or at my/testmy SB.com for the Radio or any of my
other players.

It has not happened again since.

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Battery Pack and Remote--Update please?

2010-02-16 Thread Seminole

Do you have any idea of the standby battery life? For example, I plan
to place a squeezebox radio in my bathroom where I do not have an
outlet. Do you think I could get 2 or 3 weeks of playing time with 30
minutes a day use, or does the battery drain down when not in use?

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Dimming Dilemma

Rikk-
Hope you don't mind, but I played with your clock screensaver a bit. I
used one of the backgrounds you posted and the export from Custom Clock
Helper and got something close to what I like. I prefer 12-hour clock
with AM/PM, and used to background with the hole off to the left so I
could make the clock bigger. Took a bit of playing to figure out how to
get the cover image to show behind the background image, but realized I
needed to not select a background color.
I don't have the tools to adjust your background graphic, but I'd like
to see the upper box where the now-playing information is shown made a
bit smaller, so the middle elements could be moved up a bit, making the
bottom block for the Date a little larger. Other than that, I think
it's pretty nice.
I don't know how to capture a screen shot from the Radio, but I'm
posting my exported file in case you'd like to try it!

It needs to be an url, but you should be able to enter a url that
points to SBS instead of a internet site. The advantage of using
Internet at the moment is that it will make the style usable for
everyone else if you export it.

However, I'll look into this later, because I can agree that in a
production system the images should really be retrieved from the local
SBS instead of a internet site on the other side of the world.

Ideally I'd like the images to be stored locally on the Radio, at least
all static images like play/repeat/shuffle icons which will never
change.
