Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Napster: 504 Gateway error
Yes, I am enjoying the music of Napster again and I liking it so far. I do get an occasional track skip when first starting an album. Starts with the 3rd track and skips over 12. but the sound is good and I like the newer interface. They are also extending the subscription an xtra month free which to me is fair. The spotify interface on the PC is better than Napster - so possibly worth changing if the app on the controller is better regards Simon Sure. The best thing about spotify vs. Napster is the stream bitrate is much higher (320k/s) but also I've NEVER had a skipped track or site unavailable error. That doesn't mean that the interface is quite as accomplished at a Logitech native one (but - hey - big kudos to Triode for writing it for us all). The Spotify plugin also only runs in SB server (it shows under 'Radios'), NOT in mysqueezebox.com, so you have to have a local PC or MAc running SB server. On Spotify plugin by Triode, top menu:- Top 100/What's New/Playlists/Radio/Recently listened Artists/ Recent Ablums/Recent Searches, PLUS Search Artists/Search Albums and Search Tracks. You also get context menus including biography, similar artists, and the option for similar artists mixes etc. Hope that helps Mark -- asdti asdti's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38467 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=84165 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

Happy new yer !!! Hi there Does your router allocate IP addresses to your devices dynamically, or did you set them (in your router) to be fixed. I ask, because oftentimes a cause of what you noted is a router reboot, causing new IP addresses to be dynamically assigned to your devices (and the Radio not to be able to find the router). As I understand it, the menus on a SB Radio (but not a Boom) are read from the web, so need a live connection. If you're not sure how to allocate fixed IP addresses to your devices, check your router settings. girl_from_oz;598961 Wrote: Yeah it's saying stuff like microwaves could interfere with my squeezebox Hi there Best way to prove what it is, is to connect (just temporarily) with a cable (ethernet cable, between your router and your SB). If it is stable like that, then try one more time with your wireless connection. That way, you'll be sure if the problem is your home network, or elsewhere.
