There are so many problems that seem to cause the Radio to go offline.
The ambiguous white/red WiFi symbol doesn't help, either (it can mean
bad wireless, missing server, etc.). There used to be an intermediate
color, but they reduced it to white/red. Amazon reviews of this thing
are full of wireless complaints.

The only problem I can think of that may be related to your issue is
that the Server service in Windows is crashing and knocking your
computer off the network frequently. I had an issue with that a few
months ago and SB Radio seemed to take a long time to recover.

You can check the Event Viewer in Windows to look for any critical
errors related to that.

+1 And further the Radio has a bug with channels over 11 so I would
recommend to never use them . Unlike Touch that has a region setting to
to turn off channels above 11 in appropriate regions Radio is supposed
to auto-detect this and there is a bug that makes this process
unreliable .

highly unlikely to be related to your computer running LMS being on a
long time. Mine is on 24/7. More likely an issue with the Radio
dropping/losing wifi. Use something like inSSIDer or netstumbler to see
other nearby wifi networks and the channels they are using. Then use the
channel that is least used by near neighbors. 1, 6, 11 are best channels
as they don't overlap with other channels. Don't use > 11 if outside

I never turn of any of my computers. Everything is connected either
through WiFi or through D-Link Powerline adapters. Everything had been
working well for months if not years. My first problem was the
Squeezebox dropping it's connection. Yesterday, I lost everything!!! I
called my ISP to see what the problem was and it was me. A little
diagnostics on their side and they suggested it was the router. A
router reboot and router reset (the little button in the back of the
router) and and I was up and running. Was that the source of my
problem? Who knows? I do know that the router is 5 or more years old
and stuff breaks. Will I buy a new router? Probably if I have any
connection issue again. Do I regret sending my Squeezebox back for
replacement? That is a story for after I get the Smart Radio it back.

I've started noticing that I my Radio loses wifi connection and won't
reconnect, and it seems to be when the computer is left on
overnight/extended periods. LMS on my WinXP does not show any issues,
but if I go to advanced settings or web control, it cannont find my
Radio. I am able to get Radio re-connected to the network only if I
unplug and plug it back in to power. My wireless network runs through a
Cisco/Linksys WRT110 router with the XP desktop hard wired to the
router. I've had the Radio for several months now and I don't recall
any problems like this, but I have also been leaving the desktop on for
much longer durations of time. Any thoughts?
