Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Silent UE radio
Are you sure onlyconnect have a real UE Radio? If yes, that would mean that msb.com and UESR.com are closely linked. They are not. They're totally independent. -- Michael ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Silent UE radio
Time passing can often "fix" some situations especially with networked systems. Most common is when data is cached. Often network program cache data for x minutes rather than refetch from the network to save time (e.g. LMS does this for many URLs). If network data changes then program will use cached data but it is invalid and so functionality is broken. Another instance used to be DNS. If a DNS entry is changed - it can take time to propagate across the net to secondary DNS server and so after a DNS change for a while some user may pick up "out of date" IP address until their local DNS server get the new update. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96544 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Silent UE radio
You can get date-related bugs. For example, I have seen bugs that do not show for the first 12 days of the month. This is because mm/dd/yy and dd/mm/yy are both valid until the 13th day :-) Tim onlyconnect's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=19154 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96544 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

A couple of years ago, out of the blue one of my BOOMs lost connection to everything, and when reconnected to network (via ethernet) it simply couldn't talk to my local LMS server or mysb.com. I tried factory resets, xlinx resets, etc. For about a day I tried everything. In the end, I left it plugged in, went away for the weekend, and on my return it worked perfectly. That was about 2 years ago, and it's been in daily use since that time with no issues. Odd I agree. garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96544 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

I am not sure about this for a couple of reasons. How long was mysqueezebox down for? Server info shows and has always shown uesmartradio.com The support engineer was able to play his UE radio successfully even when mine was not working. [SlimDevices: Radio] Silent UE radio
Hi I am in touch with support but wondered if you have any ideas? New UE radio does everything except play! Have tried with Live Radio, local server, and Last.fm Taking local server for example, I can select a track and see the album artwork, but no music is played. Amplifier/speaker works since it plays a startup tune on power up, and I hear beeps changing menus. Network is reported OK by diagnostics. Have checked firewall issues, even connected by Ethernet direct to router and setting it as DMZ. Yes volume is turned up! I guess possibly a faulty unit but it seems odd that it so nearly works.
