My understanding is that there's only enough space for 2 images. The purpose is simply to be able to boot into a known working firmware in the event of a broken one getting out. From that known working firmware, you can manually install any other arbitrary rev. -- Mark Miksis Mark Miksis's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=529 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=78289 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

When I saw your post I started to think that maybe there's some other rescue start up procedure so I started playing with different combinations of buttons pushed along with the power button. During that I thought - maybe POWER + REW button would work again? Pushed it once - nothing, second try, nothing. Then I made a few more attempts with different timing (pushing both for 20-30 seconds, pushing them in different orders)... and you know what? My SBR booted with the old 7.4.2 firmware! I couldn't believe my eyes so I... powered it off again just to learn what I actually did that caused it to boot up :) Just as I thought, the POWER button would not work. So again I tried playing with POWER+REW and after a few (took me about a minute) tries, I managed to boot it up again. And then I managed to upgrade to 7.5.0 which seemed to have fully fixed the radio! -- szalik szalik's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36069 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=78289 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

Mark, Hiya, first of all. :) Secondly, has there ever been any discussion of implementing a Radio/Touch feature of resetting the FW back to the Factory Original FW? I ask because these "revert" FW procedures only go back one version. If, say, I was on 7.4, tried 7.5, then tried 7.5.1, now the furthest back I can go is 7.5 -- toby10 toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=78289 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

On the SBC, you can revert to the previous working firmware by holding vol-up during power-on. I forget how to do this on a Radio. Maybe vol-up on an IR remote. There's also (I think) a front panel button for this. Hopefully someone else can recall it. -- Mark Miksis Mark Miksis's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=529 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=78289 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

Now I'll just wait for a while with the unplugged SBR, but actually, I think I've lost any hopes :( I now just hope that Logitech here in Poland is going to accept my device for repair... -- szalik szalik's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36069 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=78289 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

I can't help you much with a bricked Radio. Best I can offer is to remove the battery, unplug Radio, let sit for a while, try plugging it back in. I suppose if the FW is truly corrupted (hopefully not) then it's probably DOA. But, if you do get it running again, here is a way to refuse future updates. When you get the update prompt, scroll down and select Help, then hit the Home button. I've done this dozens of times from numerous different SBS versions and MySB connections. Good luck. :) -- toby10 toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=78289 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
