I built a battery pack last night using the kit that's available. It wasn't too hard except for seeing the tiny little connectors. BTW, when he says not to solder them, you might as well not even try unless you have great eyes. a good 25watt pencil and hands as steady as rocks. I don't trust crimp connectors so I put a drop of super glue on the wiresa little bit before the connector. Holds them all together which may help if you ever have to tug on them. They say never to hit a company as pathetic as logitech, but sometimes it can be hilarious. When you think of what it costs to build the battery pack, the pent up demand and logitech's outrageous price, it is passing strange they haven't found a way to sell these things. Really, I'm just having fun because I'm bored from not having any music outside. I believe that link is for the poor Canadians, although they shouldn't feel too bad because in the U.S. you can't get the darn battery either. Honestly, I think Nikon is running Logitech or in reverse. Either way, whomever is making the decisions obviously doesn't have to answer to shareholders or what have you. On the up side you can't call them greedy. They're like a brother in law who is a painter and keeps complaining that he doesn't have any work, yet when you offer to pay him his normal fee for a whole house painting he never shows up. If you click through to try and order it on the US site it says "in stock", even though the product page says "pre-order". The EU site shows it in stock on both pages.
