[RBW] FS: MUSA shirt lot - Saddles - Plus ACW Store Sale!

2016-09-19 Thread 'jinxed' via RBW Owners Bunch
Recent job change has cut us to part time income and will more than double
our health insurance...we are scrambling a little, time to move out stuff
gathering dust.

First off, I have marked down mugs, tees and cycling caps in the ACW store
 for those caffeinated types.

Made in USA - 6 shirt lot: $150 takes all. Dont want to split it up.
MUSA grey seersucker - medium - worn but not worn out. All buttons replaced
because the originals cracked.
MUSA blue railroad - medium - worn and laundered twice
Filson twill - M/L - took out the scratchy tag - buttery soft - tough as
nails
Rockmount Ranchwear - 16.5x33.5 fits like a large - Picked this up at the
store in Denver, just not into the western I guess.
Woolrich flannel - medium - SUPER heavy weight, great for the cold trips
Railcar Fine Goods - tag is large, but fits like a slim medium

Stretchy offerings: Both as new
Giordana short sleeve full zip - Medium - $25
Pearl Izumi short sleeve - Medium - $25
Both for $45

For reference I am 5'9" @ 160lbs

Saddles: Mainly go-fasty, but not for my butt.

Bontrager Serano RL - new - $100
Fizik Arione - Rode it twice from new - $60
Prologo Zero TI rail - Used this one quite a bit, then swapped to the slim
cambium. Still in excellent/near mint shape - $50
Selle Italia SLR Trans Am Ti - Shows use, Scuffs on the edges, still in
plenty good shape. $40

PICS HERE - PICS HERE

There are a couple frames up in there too if interested.

If this doesn't work out I don't think you can go wrong with the MKS
Sneaker pedals. I've used the these and the Thin Gripsters, and I prefer
the Sneakers. Half the price, no spiky tear up your shin pins, reflectors,
and plenty of grip. TG's are probably better if you ride in the wet. My two
cents.

Sure, I can pull my bar/stem out and take whatever measurements you like.
They have one on display at Riv, so if you call them I'm sure they can
measure them all you like and you'll have all your answers in a minute or
two. I'll be home and able to take measurements for you in about 7 hours.

[RBW] WTB: Clementine 59 frame set

2016-09-19 Thread Clementine59
as issued by Rivendell with bottom bracket, seatpost and headset. Unused
frame set preferred, but will consider factory-built (i.e., Riv
ready-to-ride) complete bike. Frame color is not important, but black might
be nice.

I have a black Brompton H3L -12% with 800 miles converted to twist shifting
(much better) with a bunch of new spares (front wheel, Schwalbe Marathon
tires, Schwalbe winter tires, frame clamps, -12% conversion take-offs etc.)
and other accessories (carry handle, built-in rear light, telescopic seat
post etc) for trade or outright sale if interested. $925 (a great deal!) if
purchased outright.

Central NJ/NYC metro local deals preferred as I will wish to inspect the
Clementine and have a prospective Brompton owner do the same. I might
consider having the right Clementine shipped. I'm not interested in
shipping the Brompton.

Please contact me directly.

Thanks!

[RBW] Re: Wow the new grey Cheviots are gorgeous!!!

2016-09-19 Thread Clayton.sf
Only been riding that particular compass tire since last week. So far they are
great! Roll well amd grip well. Used them on paved amd fire roads.
Have had compass tires in other sizes and am a fan. Used to go with the EL
versions, but had one ride stopping sidewall cut once. Not really a valid
sample size, but it made me switch to standard casing this go around. Tires are
easy to mount. Wish they were all black.
On my 60cm cheviot they are an excellent fit with plenty of breathing room with
fenders. They measure 41mm on my dt tk540 rims with tunes but will likely
stretch a little more.
Hope this helps,

[RBW] FS: CLEMENTINE complete 52 cm $1100

2016-09-19 Thread Ado Lucas

Selling my Clementine, bought this for my wife but she’s having problems
with her knee and cannot ride.

This is the first complete batch and have been in the garage mostly.

Bike is almost new, been ridden less than 50 miles. Little scratches on the
seatpost.

Will sell for $1100 with Mike’s Nitto rack

Upgrade with Silver shifter with Paul thumbies.

Walt basket, handler bar grips and bottle cage no included.

Preferably local pick-up.

Would like to keep it but I have a Rodeo and Homer already.

Too small, alas ... (except for the stem).

Patrick Moore, who only Saturday cut down the quill of a Tech Deluxe to
shorter-than-Pearl length, with perfect success and dazzling results.

Erl: you might get more bites if you set up the cockpit in a more
conventional fashion. I am not at all saying that someone shouldn't set his
stem up that way -- if it works, do it. But it certainly is unconventional
and might put buyers off, which would be a pity because it's a very nice
bike at a good price.

[RBW] Re: FS: Riv Road Stnd-56cm-complete bike

2016-09-19 Thread Tony DeFilippo
I've seen this bike in person, it's a beaut! Just getting a frame with
'RIVENDELL' boldly lettered on the down tube is a darn good excuse to buy.
Good thing for me it's way to small.

Erl - I guess this means my suggestion of mounting the frame in you living
room as sculpture/art didn't fly?!? :)

I would be interested in the Carradice saddle bag support.

[RBW] FS: Riv Road Stnd-56cm-complete bike

2016-09-19 Thread WETH
Complete bike: $1700 shipped or $1600 local pickup-Washington DC area. F/f/hs:
$900 shipped or $850 local pickup. PayPal please.

I bought the f/f/hs used on eBay and built it up as a 650b conversion before
changing to 700c. It rides wonderfully and is beautiful! However, since
acquiring my Romulus, I am mostly riding the Romulus! I also have a Cheviot to
build up and ride. Time to move this bike to an owner with time to ride it!
Though it pains me a bit as I will miss the gorgeous paint, lugs and head
badge! As previously stated I originally built this as a 650b, but the bike
currently has 700c wheels and Ruffy Tuffy tires. (Photos show bike as both
650b and 700c)

Frame is in great condition: two notable issues-one scuff in the clear coat on
the top tube and a bulge on the headtube under the headbadge with a
corresponding paint chip-I bought the bike with these flaws.

Pictures here: https://flickr.com/photos/86975051@N08/sets/72157646658697853
Happy to provide more pics if wanted.

Frame measurements: 56cm c-c seat tube, 57.5cm c-c top tube. I am happy to
provide other measurements and photos. (I have a 75-76 cm saddle height and
86cm PBH.)

Spectrum Tom Kellogg paint job is gorgeous!
Headset: Campagnolo record
Components included (also see photos with exceptions listed below):
-Tektro R539 brakes (some photos show R559 brakes which are not included)
-TRP brake levers
-Kmc chain
-Altus rear derailleur
-11-32 shimano cassette
-Shimano CX-70 front derailleur
-Shimano 8sp shift levers
-BB un55 107mm
-Crankset sugino wide low double;170 crank length
-Nitto noodles 46cm
-Nitto Technomic 280mm with 70mm reach
-Tires 700x28 Ruffy Tuffy
-700c wheelset 36hole Mavic A319 wheelset Shimano Tiagra hubs (130 rear spacing)
-VO grand cru seat post
-Brooks b17 saddle - blue
-Bar wrap - Cinelli - blue gel cork
-pedals -MKS RMX Sneaker Pedals

Also included:
-Riv saddlesack xtra small grey
-2 king iris bottle cages

NOT included but pictured in some of the photos:
-Frame pump
-Kleen kanteen bottle
-SKS fenders
-rear blinky light
-American flag

Happy to answer questions.
Thanks,
Erl
