[RBW] WTB: Kucharik wool shorts

2021-07-25 Thread Eric Marth
Do you have an old pair of all-wool shorts from Kucharik accumulating dust
in some long-forgotten bin? Have you parted ways with the world of snug and
huggy cycling clothes to go full normal? If so I'm interested in your
neglected Kucharick shorts in size medium. Please reach out via direct
message and thanks so much!

[RBW] WTB: 170mm 110BCD crank arms

2021-07-25 Thread Johnny Alien
This whole supply problem with bike parts thing is starting to bother me. :)

I picked up the Charlie Gallop sample frame and plan to make it a 1X11
setup. I am going to pick up a wolf tooth chainring (this is pretty easy
to find) but need some crank arms to go with it. My preferred size is 170
and preferred color is silver. The combination is impossible to find in
anything affordable. So I am looking for a Sugino xd, New Albion (riv calls
this the clipper) or Silver crank arm set. If you need to unload it with
rings I am ok with that. Silver, 170mm, 110 bcd, square taper in good
shape. Anyone have anything like that?

[RBW] Re: WTB: 170mm 110BCD crank arms

2021-07-25 Thread Garth
I've used the Origin8 110 bcd double silver crank arms for a number of
years. They're sold as arms only, about $50-60 and come in 170mm as well as
a whole bunch of other lengths. They're labelled as single speed but the
arm mount tabs are for double rings, so you can use either position for a
single. I mention this because I used the XD for a number of years and
after breaking 2 pairs and I tried the Origin8 instead. A 107 or 110 BB is
about a 44mm chainline, . They are notably stiffer than the XD and use a
regular 5 bolt pattern, no silly reverso chainring bolts. The pair I have
is also straight, meaning the rings don't have the lateral wobble every
pair(5) of XD I've had exhibits to varying degrees. Don't let the price
fool you into thinking these are less-than a Sugino or any other brand for
that matter.

CoalTrain, I did check there before posting here. They have stuff in stock

Re: [RBW] Bikes on eBay, CraigsLIst, and Other Sites

2021-07-25 Thread David Lipsky
Was it $2400, or $2500? This morning when I first saw the listing, I thought it
was $2500.
Now I see that the listing changed two hours ago to $2800.

BTW, it is a 51cm (not 54).

I contacted him about seeing it. There is someone scheduled to come at 2:00.
If not sold, I can see it at 3:00.

$2400 as it is shown seems fine; $2500 seemed OK; $2800 is a lot.

David Lipsky

BTW — Anyone want to trade a 51 Sam for my 51 Appaloosa? Or, my 55 AH Hilsen?

If not sold, I can see it at 3:00.

$2400 as it is shown seems fine; $2500 seemed OK; $2800 is a lot.

Ok lemme get this straight. The 54 at 2400 became a 51 at 2500 then 2800
then it sold and then there was a 48 at 2800 and it also sold. In the last
three hours 😐

Btw this is super handy but check how you get on your bike before buying. I

Re: [RBW] Bikes on eBay, CraigsLIst, and Other Sites

2021-07-25 Thread David Lipsky
When I clicked on Matt’s link in the list, It showed up as a 51 in the CL
description and $2500. It has 650b wheels and tires so that is correct.
I asked him if he got $2800 for the 48, he replied: “Yes.”

The 51 was a VERY nicely equipped, little used bike.
BUT — We are living in inflationary times!!

Another unsolicited chime-in: I have a 1st generation gray Hunqapillar
and I can confirm that in the 54cm size, RBW's listed "effective top
 tube"
is the "actual top tube length". I think the 54 cm is listed at something
like a 584 mm ETT when it is in fact, 599.2.

Also, my 54cm easily accommodates RH Antelope Hill 700 x 55 tires and
my frameset is from the very first batch.

Was it $2400, or $2500? This morning when I first saw the listing, I
 thought it was $2500.
Now I see that the listing changed two hours ago to $2800.

 BTW, it is a 51cm (not 54).

I contacted him about seeing it. There is someone scheduled to come at
 2:00.
If not sold, I can see it at 3:00.

$2400 as it is shown seems fine; $2500 seemed OK; $2800 is a lot.

 David Lipsky

BTW — Anyone want to trade a 51 Sam for my 51 Appaloosa? Or, my 55 AH
 Hilsen?
