Re: [RBW] Shorts similar to Riv MUSA

2020-06-06 Thread dirtp
I bought a pair of the KAVU Big Eddy river shorts based off this thread. I
like them a lot. I like the MUSAs a little better - they have heavier-duty
fabric and the hems are double stitched - but these are a close second.
Thanks for the advice!

Really, all kidding aside, the Raphas are nice, tho' why they put the
wallet pocket on the right instead of the left, as God commanded Moses on
Sinai, is something that keeps me awake at night. But that's a minor
quibble. They are nice.

I don't roll the hems as the fool in the photo does; no need to do so.

[RBW] Shorts similar to Riv MUSA

2020-05-27 Thread JamesP.
I have never actually used the MUSA shorts from Riv but I liked the look and
searched for something similar. What I have been using are some hybrid board
shorts I found at target. They are not gusseted however they are very thin and
light. Dry quickly and have the mesh pockets. I have been using them at the
beach as well as all kinds of rides since I got them and love them.

They are fairly cheap compared to riding style shorts too. I believe I found
them on sale, so bonus if you can wait them out!

I have the Grey MUSA knickers, still going ten years later... just picked up a
pair of shorts from Kavu, really love the fit and material.

[RBW] Shorts similar to Riv MUSA

2020-05-24 Thread Erik Wright
I’ve been wondering the same thing recently and figured Patagonia Baggies are
pretty close to my MUSA shorts. I haven’t purchased any yet to confirm but
likely will in the coming weeks.

[RBW] Shorts similar to Riv MUSA

2020-05-23 Thread Todd Ferguson
Hi all,

I've been riding in the MUSA shorts with aussie wool underneath for longer
rides and am looking for some replacement shorts. Now that these are
discontinued anyone have any suggestions of similar gusseted shorts with no
pad?

Alternately anyone have any large Musas they want to get rid of?

Thanks,

Todd
