Though it resembles a JagdPanther it is not a scale version of it. For instance the JagdPanther does not have return idlers. Also, the tracks as depicted are to thin. Chris. b i don't really see any benefits to using a rotocast for any of the parts of the tank. tanks parts such as the turret and body just wouldn't cut it with the rotocast, you'd be better off making egg shells with it when it comes to this sport/hobby. items just as engine grill vents, mufflers, road wheels, turret hatches and the likes can be cast in a tough resin such as Task 3 and will hold up just fine. for the hulls and turrets, make them out of fiberglass, metal plating, heavy vacuum form plastic or (the standard) wood, just don't waste your time and money on the rotocast Chris, _Odyssey Slipways_ (http://hometown.aol.com/odysseyslipways/index.html) **Make your life easier with all your friends, email, and favorite sites in one place. I would guess that it's (GRP) this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glass-reinforced_plastic I would also guess the the main advantage of rotomolding would be the hollow core. I'm not sure that there is any advantage other than that. Perhaps speed and repeatability. I kind of like the method I used for the BT-7 turret shell. I covered a styrofoam core with aluminum foil and applied fiberglass and resin to the outside of it. Hah! No, not worried about shorts. Resin doesn't like sticking to the aluminum. Mostly it stays on the form. Any remaining on the inside is easily peeled off. The only parts that give me fits are areas of the foil that are folded ofer that I've missed, thy have to be chipped off. GRP is fibreglass (glass reinforced plastic) Fibre glass resin are usually epoxy or polyester, polyester is your basic DIY type resin. I have found coating parts in vaselline (petrolleum jelly) works really well for releasing parts. I plan on making my next tank out of composite materials like fibreglass.
