[realXtend] Download area in realxtend.org sourceforge not working (Trying to download export tools)

2009-12-02 Thread sal
I tried to test the sketchup export tools and following various guides
on Internet, most of them are referring to some exporttools to be
found on the realxtend download area of website. That area exists, the
link exists, but when trying to download I only get a blank page :(

Can I have some hints on how to export sketchup objects to realxtend
right now with working links?

I also have found some sites telling how to do it with some .msi and
extra files and sketchup 7, I'm a bit confused on which is the right
way and the right (existent downloadable) files. If any of you has
these .zip can please send them to me (salah...@gmail.com)?

Thanks

[realXtend] Setting up taiga on Linux ubuntu server.

2009-12-02 Thread sal
Some friends pointed me to the very interesting taiga server which
should be able to use a completely new and effective model for
authentication.

However it is quite unclear the procedure (and IF) for making it
working under Linux (Ubuntu for instance).

We started to install it from modrex source and partially succeeded in
doing this, but got some problems so this is why I'm asking if there
is a well established and clean way for installing it without much
hassle :)

This might be quite interesting: I wanted to build up a grid in Italy
to show how opensim can be used professionally by teachers educators
and others to develop high quality meshing architecture showrooms and
live 3D worlds (maybe to put in parallel to already established
Cyberlandia grid).

Thanks for any info,
Salahzar Stenvaag

Yes, the export tools are missing ;-D
Perhaps can be helpfull for you my shared link to download them from here:
http://www.4shared.com/file/164156924/ede307da/rexexporttools_03.html

and this tutorial (it is in spanish but google translator can help):

Remember than if you don't include the textures in the meshtools, you only
are going to get a blank meshe without textures.

Thanks, alberto, I'm Italian so I can easily (in theory lol) read your
Spanish instructions.
