Only a 'select few' -- it's been happening for about a week,
across many Y!groups, and appears to affect folks who've newly-subscribed
-or- made address changes. Their info has been duplicated in the member
lists

So far, attempts to remove "extra" address listings have resulted in the
removal of "all" entries for that member.
It's a Yahoo thing, and List Owners have NO real control -- Pending a
fix, the best opinions offered elsewhere is to ride it out...

Sometimes you get lucky, and it's only the chip; too often you'll be
checking individual pieces-parts. Those pass xstrs can be a real pain.
Suggestion: put that new chip in a socket -- makes it lots easier the
next time.

Test fixture: swipe a headlamp or two from, say, the XYL's car... 8-)

In theory, +3dB gets about 40% range increase; to double requires +6dB.

Remember your geometry lessons for area of a circle (Pi R^2) ?
Imagine maintaining a "minimum depth" of a water puddle, as the puddle
grows in size..
Substitute "minimum usable signal level"...

Simple example:
Say your existing setup gives 10-km range (radius) - that's 314-km^2 of
"usable signal" coverage area.
Double the ERP (+3dB) increases the "usable" area to 628-km^2 -- about
14-km range.
At 20-km range, the coverage area is 1256-km^2 -- 4x what you started
from; hence +6dB.

In Theory And a perfect world. YM(K?)MV.

Had one of the originals (SN 32xx) for many years -- only 'serious'

It's been an ongoing p*ssing-match:
for whatever reason (suspicion is that they're tweaking their spam
filters), UNITED (Juno) will take offense at a Y! mailserver -- didn't
even have to be from this list -- and blocks the IP, which bounces
everything... and the race is on.

The real irritating part being that, it can take a L-O-N-G time (days)
for Y! to shut off *all* your mail lists, and often even longer to get
'em restored... the attitude apparently being "What Do You Expect? -
It's Free". Feh.

Fortunately, Juno/United still has "some" semblance of Customer Support,
& resolutions are happening -- while you're checking your bouncing
resets, copy that error code & send it to
If you happen to get a whole, real
bounced-mail with full-headers, that's even better !!

Good Luck.
