I have a freind who has their  UHF Com 2 way, a Linked and a club 
repeater and a B-cast Station, only the club R has BCI leaking on XMIT 
and they are short of money to have it fixed I guess.

I did some tech advice for him on a storm that turned the tower into a 
pretzel  we been freinds for years he's a pertty easy going freind for 
so many years.

Unfortunately not everyone is freindly towards us!

Forgot to add, at each tower site, there is a name plate as to whom own's or controls the site, with both a contact number and an emergency number, the site number, and all realted information.

well Joe,
even here on the other side of the border we have the same situation,radio 
site where radio-amateur were permit to install equipment for many years are 
now getting tougher to negociate the "apartement".
we have much more restriction in access sine the sept.2001 that they justify 
there moves on this reason many times,security,as they say even if this 
is the same person for many years that are coming and setting the 
transmitter.

As someone said,find a location with farmers for example,they still have 
this "communauty feeling" that big Corp no longer havefeel,

Some individual,with good argument,would understand you ,,,what you want to 
do ,,,
it is getting back at the bases,well prepare project will receive some 
comeback

Joe, all I can say is Good Luck.  Commercial sites are getting difficult to get, they don't want to allow amatuer on the towers.  I talked with three companies, and got the same response.  They require at least a 5 million dollar insurance policy, and then want at least between $400.00 to $600.00 rent per month.  To them, space is money, and freebies don't bring money.  The good ole days of helping the non-profit outfits have long went away.  A good example is a 300' tower that resides here in my county, owned by a ham operator, declined the use of their tower, as he simply put it, LIABILITY, and no waivers would surfice for the company.  GOOD LUCK!
