Thanks,

This one had different marking, but could have been changed. I'll put
a 901 in it and see how it does.

I ended up with 220 pre-selector unit mentioned
earlier. I'll look through the paperwork to see
if I have the instructions.

Here is a few photos of what mine looks like. The circuit board is
labeled on the top "P40-500".

Excellente'

Any chance you can park a copy of it in the group files
section for those of us who don't receive attachments
when we read the group via a web browser?

Anyone have a schematic?

Or noise figure measurements? Or P1dB measurements?

I'd expect the P1dB to be quite reasonable, perhaps a couple of dB better
than a typical GaAsFET due to the loss of what filtering it does have on
the input side of the preamp. I'm most curious as to the NF, & the P1dB as
a function of input freq. The latter will tell you how narrow the input
filters are.

As far as I know, GLB never made the schematic available.

I posted to the FILES area what I received with the preamps that I had
purchased over the years. I've used them on all three bands with good
luck. Skipp was trying to reverse engineer one I sent him.

[Repeater-Builder] Re: GLB Preselector diagram and spicey (spice modeling)

I have that information and I did reverse out the
diagram portions I was interested in detailing,
which are the different bias schemes for the
different active devices.

I'll happily make that information available when
I locate that buried folder. Today might be a day
to slightly clean up the office paperwork stack.

A friend and I are casually setting up to run
models of both wide and narrow band RF Pre-amplifiers.
The subject has already started an interesting email
debate with another group of friends. The termination
Z (impedance) actually seen by the preamplifier does
affect the IMD. How much and where is what we hope
to get a better look at.

both... we already gone through some of it
and sorting the results is a lot of work.

Input, output or both?
