<---I posted a reply to your question on the RC210 list, David. But my
quick synopsis is you either have a problem with the Micor or the
modification isn't working as intended. 

I also have a Micor CompaStation and there is tons of audio from the
backplane. Certainly more than enough to drive the RC210

Was this originally a base station? If so did you remove CR957 from the RX
interconnect board. Check this link.

yes that diode is missing on my board there is a jumper right next to where
the diode goes but nothing tells me to do anything with the jumper.

Forget about the jumper. The RC210 needs .5 to 2.5 volts of audio, I don't
think you're getting near that much where you're connected. The connection
you're using is directly from the discriminator. Try getting the audio
connection through a .1 uF Mylar capacitor to J2-14 (where you put the
jumper to J2-6).
