Re: [rt-users] About the queues in fetchmailrc
Do i need to set up this Here's what I did when I used fetchmail (FM): poll exchangeserver.companydomain.dkproto imap: username rt password secretpassword mda /opt/rt3/bin/rt-mailgate --url http://localhost --queue General --action correspond --debug username rt-kommentar password secretpassword mda /opt/rt3/bin/rt-mailgate --url http://localhost --queue General --action comment--debug I'm no expert in FM but I think this means you first tell FM which server to poll, then which protocol to use. Then you give FM a list of accounts to fetch mails from, and what to do with the mails. So you dont have to set up poll and proto for each mailadress, if they are on the same server. But you have to have one line per mailaddress you want to fetch. And if you want to use mail to create new tickets in different queues, you need one email pr queue. For corresponding and commenting, you just use the addresses you've set up in the SiteConfig. The comments/correspondence will be attached to the correct ticket if the tag is in the subject, regardless which queue it is in. I'm also a newbie - so others can correct me if I'm wrong. But this what I've gathered so far. [rt-users] Query tickets by user custom field
Hi, I'm trying to get a list/chart of the number of tickets per group of users. I created a User CF named group and all users (non-privileged) are assigned a specific value of this CF. Is there a way to search for all tickets where the requestor has a specific value in this CF? It sounds like a join in TicketSQL, is there such a thing? Thanks, Daniel.

Or, check your settings in the preferences and try setting everything back to defaults for the message composer, if they are changed. Regards, Max

Unfortunately, TicketSQL doesn't support searching on User CFs. You can group by it in a chart, but you can't search by it without extending the TicketSQL syntax. I've gotten around this in the past by copying the requestor's User CF to a hidden Ticket CF and searching on that instead. -kevin pgpYm2GjQeD6x.pgp Description: PGP signature

Re: [rt-users] firefox4 textbox missing
Some versions of FCKEditor has had issues with browser detection for newer browser versions. As far as I can tell it's dependant on older versions of FCKEditor being used, but as the bug has been replicated on 3.8.9 and 3.8-trunk perhaps it is not the case. Some FCKEditor users have been updating the agent strings to detect FF4.0 and IE9 correctly. Either way, it may be an option to try the newer CKEditor as it was such as simple patch posted on the list a while back, and easily reverted back to FCKEditor. -Original Message- From: rt-users-boun...@lists.bestpractical.com [mailto:rt-users-boun...@lists.bestpractical.com] On Behalf Of Kevin Falcone Sent: 30 March 2011 16:02 To: rt-users@lists.bestpractical.com Subject: Re: [rt-users] firefox4 textbox missing On Wed, Mar 30, 2011 at 03:21:17PM +0100, Alex Young wrote: As a test I have also just updated RT to use the latest CKEditor version 3.5.2 as it has fixes for IE9 and several other browser updates. I installed 4.0.0rc7 for testing. Our production version is 3.8.4. The 3.8.4 install has Set($WebExternalAuth , 1); in the RT_SiteConfig.pm and Apache2::AuthCAS set up in the Apache config. [rt-users] Template not seeing value just set in Scrip
I must be missing something obvious… On Create, I have a Scrip that looks at the requestor’s Organization field (presuming, of course, they’ve sent us email before and we’ve set a value for it). If it matches one of the values in a multi-select custom field we have at the Ticket level called “Client”, then it automatically assigns the “Client” custom field to that ticket. Here is the relevant part from that Scrip: my $T_Obj = $self-TicketObj; $T_Obj-AddCustomFieldValue( Field = Client, Value = $client-Name ); That works great. Next, it goes to another Scrip that then performs a Notify AdminCcs using a custom template. This template sends the AdminCcs a copy of the Transaction-Content, but then appends the just assigned custom field to the email. Here is the relevant part from that Template: {$Transaction-Content()} { my $OUTPUT; my $rTicket = RT::Ticket-new( $RT::SystemUser ); $rTicket-Load($Ticket-id); my $values = $rTicket-CustomFieldValues('Client'); $OUTPUT .= : . $values . :BR; while (my $value = $values-Next ) { $OUTPUT .= * . $value-Content . *BR; } $OUTPUT; } Now, here’s the problem. If that custom field was propagated via the Scrip mentioned in the first section, it doesn’t carry that value into the Template even though the Template is executed after it: Execution Order (reversed): Wed Mar 30 14:39:21 2011 The RT System itself - Outgoing email recorded [Show] Wed Mar 30 14:39:20 2011 The RT System itself - Outgoing email recorded [Show] Wed Mar 30 14:39:18 2011 The RT System itself - Client added If, however, I use RT to create a new ticket and self-select the Client custom field, it will work. So, I know I’m pulling the right field out in the Template. I even tried re-loading the ticket (as you see above) in the hopes that it would re-read the new value from the database. Any idea how I might be able to accomplish this? As far as I can tell, the Scrip is correctly updating the DB, it executes before the Template gets rendered, and the code is correct in the Template. Thanks. --drew

I know of a few folks using RT's External Auth against the 4.0.0 betas, so I suspect a misconfiguration or some weird bug we haven't seen yet, rather than a general failure. pgpnEQGR2KDd2.pgp Description: PGP signature
Re: [rt-users] firefox4 textbox missing
I noticed an issue with the Richtext editor and Fx4 when using the SphinxIntegrated addon from the wiki. This addon includes a javascript document.domain setting that goes in the InHeader file of RT. When this line is present, the Rich text editor does not load in Fx4. Without it, it works fine. I don't know if this is related, but I thought I'd mention it. /Johan

I set the log level to debug on the server where I have 4.0 installed, but I still don't see REMOTE_USER being set. Would I see that in the log with debug set? Can I set REMOTE_USER = CAS_FILER_USER in the httpd.conf?
