*Support Engineer*

*Job Responsibilities *
• Individuals in this role are accountable for
validating/troubleshooting network device configuration and building
clusters in cloud environment
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware/configuration/network
issues
• Coordinate with external and internal teams to find out
resolutions.
• Involves deployment of cluster and special components
• Debugging powershell scripts
• Adhere to processes defined.
• Drive technical and procedural improvement across support.
Core responsibilities include
• Network validations and identify misconfigurations in azure
infrastructure
• Follow up with vendors for any misconfiguration or bad
hardware
• Troubleshoot and escalate issues to component teams
• Identify the issues with automation scripts/tools and engage
feature teams for further enhancements
*Additional responsibilities *
• Identify manual work and engage component teams for
automations
• Track down the issues that arise and drive them towards
resolution
• Update knowledge base with troubleshooting guides and lessons
learned
• Define TSG for new issues and follow up with feature for
approvals
*Must Have Skills *
• Flexible to work on 24 X 7 Support model
• Certification in CCNA
• Good knowledge of server installation/upgrade/patching,
deployments and system/server administration with a minimum of 2-3 years of
experience
• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in building and managing
high volume web services, Windows Server, WDS, and virtualization
• Networking concepts with an understanding of the OSI Model,
DNS, WINS, TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, Routing, ACL’s, and switching
• Knowledge on LAN,WAN setup and Concepts of Sub netting
• Exposure to maintain and troubleshoot the network
• Co-ordination with external and internal teams to finding out
resolutions to the blockers
• Accountable for operational performance including real-time
SLA management, escalation, and communication
• Documenting troubleshooting and problem resolution steps
along with Root case Analysis
• Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
*Nice to have skills *
• Analyzing and resolving faults, ranging from a major system
crash to a network routing issues
• Supporting Maintaining and Validating new server hardware in
remote datacenters
• Drive continuous improvement into process and technology to
improve throughput
• Adherence to process (ITIL) and Incident management and SLA,
Responsible for Incident Mgmt (Proactive Reactive), execution of Changes,
Problem Performance mgmt.
• Basic Knowledge of Scripting - Batch / Powershell
