Re: [SMW-devel] Initial GitHub support arrived!
Hi Andru, Since you mentioned Semantic Forms - I have no plans to move over, or copy, SF or any of my other extensions to GitHub, unless it first happens for SMW and/or other extensions and there's a widespread consensus that it's the right thing to do. I'm what you might call a "late adopter" as far as infrastructure stuff. :) -Yaron On Mon, Nov 4, 2013 at 5:57 AM, Andru Vallance wrote: > Awesome. Thanks Jeroen. Awesome. Thanks Jeroen. Gerrit has been a stumbling block in my contributions more than once. With limited time to commit, the simplicity of contributing can be the difference between bug fixes staying in my clone or being merged to assist others. Here's hoping SemanticForms makes the transition too :) Andru -- Android is increasing in popularity, but the open development platform that developers love is also attractive to malware creators. [SMW-devel] TravisCI build time reduced
Hey, There where some concerns that the TravisCI build time was quite high, and that it would prove to be problematic for reviewing pull requests on GitHub. Looking at our first build for the new GitHub repo, it indeed took nearly 14 minutes for the build to finish. https://travis-ci.org/SemanticMediaWiki/SemanticMediaWiki/builds/13407139 (Note how the tasks run in parallel, and the "duration" is the sum of the task running time, not the time passed between build start and end.) After some optimizing this is now down to a bit under 4 minutes. https://travis-ci.org/SemanticMediaWiki/SemanticMediaWiki/builds/13465816 Once the TravisCI people tackle the following "issue", we can get it to under one minute: https://github.com/travis-ci/travis-ci/issues/1587#issuecomment-27673516 Cheers -- Jeroen De Dauw http://www.bn2vs.com Don't panic. Don't be evil. ~=[,,_,,]:3 -- -- Android is increasing in popularity, but the open development platform that developers love is also attractive to malware creators.
