It will be on the tag on the core support. Its just standard 1987 Dodge
Shadow black.

The silver should be standard silver from the same time period as well.

The silver should be standard silver from the same time period as well.

It left Chrysler as a solid black car and Shelby added no paint to his
vehicles.
How you ask? The front rear airdam along with the side ground effects were
pre-painted with the dark silver paint. The balance of the silver was 3
sections of decals.

As far as the code # for the lower body metallic silver it's:

PPG DBU5013 Dark Silver Metallic. Same paint code as a 95 Dodge Truck.
This is the perfect match for 87-88 CSX(T) cars. Just be sure the utilize
flex
agent in the paint since your just painting the flexible plastic parts on
the car.

SD Is there a market for pre pre 91 Daytona rear badges(Dodge, Daytona, Shelby Z, P

2005-03-09 Thread Moparmat2000
actually the 87and 88 year model base, pacifica, and shelby Z models used
more of an orangy red color slightly darker than chevrolet orange on the
emblems. there are a few of these emblems still around as NOS mopar parts on
dealers
shelves tho most are NS1 by now.

the 89 , 90 and 91 ES and base models used more of a bright red color on
these same emblems. of course the shelby from 89 up went to decals.

i have a pretty worn but not broken 87/88 daytona pacifica emblem i was gonna
use to make a mould from just to repop a new one for my daytona pacifica i
purchased as another project car.

hope this helps.

There is also a section for Exterior discussion on www.turbododge.com
There might be a few there looking for those parts.
I would at least give it a shot.

Well Tom, there's certainly a big number of Daytona owners on this list,
but pre-91 is still not specific enough, since 1989 and 1990 used
decals, and 1988 and 87 used plastic badges glued on. I am sure the
decal style found on the Daytona Shelbys is reproducable and David
Salamone may already have them since he typically has most of the OEM
NOS decals. As far as the plastic glue-on ones, I imagine that would
require molds to be made, and that sounds complicated.

I am checking into a possible lead on NOS Daytona badges. The red and
black ones found on 87-91 Daytona's and possibly other years. If there,
is, which ones are most desired, and what would potential buyers be
willing to give.
E-mail me with what you might be interested in and tell me what you'd
pay so I can see if the prices I'm getting offered for is a decent
price. I am still investigating the lead so this is just a test to see
if I have something before I purchase and find out no one wants them.

upstate NY and can't wait for spring. Can't wait to hear from ya'll, may the

2005-03-09 Thread MoparMn426
List price from the dealer, If I remember correctly, was around 12-15 bucks a
pop, so Id say If they are NS1, 20 to 25 bucks each would be about right. I
believe you can still get them on parts voice, though. I dont have the Part
numbers available off hand, so I cant check. Now as parts voice runs out, the
price will go up. If I couldnt find em anywhere else id pay maybe 30 bucks
each.
I need several sets myself, and I want NOS ones, I also need some for an 86
turbo Z. I need the Dodge and Daytona Turbo Z for the rear, and I need 2 sets
of
the C/S fender badges, and 3 of the 87-88 Dodge, and Daytona badges, and 2
Shelby Z badges. I have a Pacifica badge NOS that I bought years ago when this
was normal inventory at a dealer. If you can get em for a decent price, I say
get em. Even if they are available now, they wont be for long. 5 years from
now, you may be the only one who has any. If I was restoring another car then,
I
know id be looking for good emblems for it.
