SD> WTB Charger Shelby Turbo

2005-12-06 Thread Techpriest
I thought the Daytona was much faster then the Charger so that's why
I was only looking for a Daytona. Read last night that not all the
Charger Shelby's were turbos. Went back to the performance specs I
was using and found I was comparing turbo Daytonas to non-turbo
Chargers, not at all fair. Now comparing turbos it looks like
performance is close. Now I am looking for an 86-87 Charger Shelby
Turbo, or Daytona Shelby, both with specs I previously posted.

As for travel, I am up against several problems with going to either
coast. Its winter and to get to either coast I have to cross a
mountain range, not fun. I started a new job and don't want to take
time off to go get a car right now. If I can go in a day and be back
in a day, I can do it on a weekend. I looked into transport, but
that adds to much to the cost of a $2000 car to make sense.

Thanks again!

SD> WTB: +20% Injectors & Custom Calibration Question

2005-12-06 Thread Brian Bauer
I am in the market to purchase a set of new or used +20%
injectors. I have a 1987 Dodge Daytona Turbo II car with
a 2.5 turbo instead of a 2.2. I am going to use the
+20%'s to solve the 'lean' fuel problem until I get a
custom calibration. That leads me to my next question...
I have a spare 87 logic module that I have socketed
myself. I have an EPROM chip burner and plenty of chips
laying around waiting to be flashed. I was just wondering
if anyone has a calibration file for a 2.5 turbo in a 87
daytona TII (originally a 2.2). I would even be
interested in any performance calibration. The plan is to
run +40's and a 3 bar map.

I tried Super 77 in my Rampage and it didn't stick like it should have.
I'll try the other stuff you listed when I do the headliner in my Spirit.

Actually, a better product for this application is 3M FoamFast 74

3M FoamFast 74 is specifically made for bonding of foam products,

RE: SD> Automatic transmission limp mode??

2005-12-06 Thread Mullikin.Stefan
Check the codes with a scanner, have the dealer check the firmware and
update if needed. Past that make sure you're running the proper fluid
and that all of the electrical connections are good, especially the
grounds.

I bought a winter beater for $200 knowing that it had some transmisson
issues. Changed filter, fluid and and both speed sensors in the
transmission. This helped for awhile but now it will run through the
gears the first time but once the speed dips down below 40 mph it kicks
into limp mode. My question is is there any way to disable or fake it
into not going into limp mode??? The transmission is the wonderful A604.
All I need is the car to get me through the winter.

Any help or advice will be appreicated!!!

SD> FS: Turbo Van Dodge Caravan 1989 $1,200 BLACK VAN

2005-12-06 Thread Bryan Lugert
FS: Turbo Van Dodge Caravan 1989 $1,200 BLACK VAN

I sold this earlier this year to my shop and now it is time to sell it.
I bought a 2006 Dodge Dakota over the weekend, so I am selling the shop van
and my van.

This van is stock, never modified in any way. Has never seen more than the
factory boost.

Black with Red Interior.
Interior is REALLY NICE!
It is one of the LOADED vans.
Power EVERYTHING!
-Power Seat, Windows, Locks, Cruise, Tilt, Air, Compass thing on ceiling,
Nice factory stereo, the nicest I have seen.
170,000 miles on it, but runs great!
It has the nice ground effects package too, I guess you get that when you
get the Deluxe model!
Body is not too bad, rust on pass. side rear wheelwell and little on
tailgate.
Couple of dings, nothing too serious.
A/C still works, fan makes terrible noise at startup, then stops.
New timing belt.

Priced to sell @ $1,200.
