Just a note that gelatin is made of animal components. I do not know
the exact process, but do have some vague concerns about the processing
methods, given worries about prions, especially in cattle.

If anyone knows that this concern is invalid, I would be glad to learn
about that.

As far as causes, see:

These two articles refer to the ataxic response (among

as treatments, the doctors know zip. I would, if
possible, use a total immune system rebuilding
program, which probably isn't practical in this case.

Re: CSA Question.... and warning from the List Owner

2004-03-29 Thread M. G. Devour
Okay folks... Most of you know the drill.

For anybody who doesn't know the rules, the applicable section is as
follows:

'Politics is forbidden unless it relates directly to CS or important
alternative health issues, as mentioned above. Do not discuss political
parties, elections, politicians, policy, or philosophy. Do not raise
divisive issues -- you know which ones! Do not reply to political
comments made by others... Nope, not even to be fair! '

If you need to review the rules, they're at the web site linked in the
footer at the bottom of this and every list message.

Don't reply to this thread. Do not reply to any responses that come in
from people who are catching up on their mail over the next day or two.
Let the thread die.

At least half of the damage was done by those who complained or
responded on-list. The one member who sent me a heads-up message
privately did the right thing. My thanks to them.

As always, the Off Topic list (also linked at bottom) can be used for
these kinds of comments. I will be happy to referee the debate over
there as long as people remain civil.

Hank has been warned.

Be well,

It is made from cow hooves. Many are avoiding gelatin because we do not
know all the ways prions can be transmitted. High heat does not kill
them.

My brother was working in Europe a couple years ago and he said during
the BSE scare people stopped eating all gelatin containing products,
including Altoid breath mints.

Methionine is the main amino acid in gelatin that is beneficial to nail
growth. Biotin will also help. One could take these two amino acids and
avoid the gelatin altogether. It is largely undigestible protien anyway
so not as much benefit as one might think just reading the nutritional
info.

no paranoid delusion there. there are a number of theories on why our
current
president invaded iraq. none of them have anything to do with fighting
terrorism.
as far as WMD's, i suggest you look up Scott Ritter. he was a US
marine and
UNSCOM weapons inspector who resigned in 1998, saying the inspection
process was
being misused to check on Saddam's defences and that Iraq's WMD's were
almost

completely destroyed.
if you attack a country based on wilful disinformation and lies,
killing an estimated
10,000 civilians, that makes you a criminal. each act of agression and
violence that
individuals or countries get away with in the public sphere opens the
doorway

to further agression and violence by opportunists in the public stage.

Thanks for the correction Marshall. Guess I shoulda checked but that is
what I had been told and read for many years in alt health literature.
Does not matter though, the prion exposure would likely be the same. And
although I do not eat beef it is not for this reason. I believe it takes
eating brains and organophosphate exposure to contract CJD or there
would be many more cases of CJD in the cities. Most of the cases in
Europe are in rural communities among farmer who use large amounts of
organophosphates.

Beef makes acne worse, my teen stopped eating it and her acne improved.
We all quit and now when we lapse we always get three pimples. It spikes
testosterone, even organic beef. to digest it and that is why it is
thought to contribute to acne.

Re: CSSide Effects Of CS?

2004-03-29 Thread filip.hoeven
I have used CS that I generated myself and that I bought from several
different
suppliers. I did experience side effects (or at least problems) with all of
them.

The problem was that I experienced a hungry and a need-to-throw-up
feeling, even though I ate normal and never had any problems of that
kind. I never needed to throw up, but it lasted 2 to 3 weeks.

Nobody could give me an answer except that it could be
a) that I'm allergic to silver
I don't have any problems wearing a silver ring, so I guess I'm not allergic
to silver. I asked to check for silver allergy when I did a blood and urine
test, but they didn't have a test for that.
b) that it's a Herx reaction and I should lower the dosage.
I used CS to try to cure my chronic sinus infection, I didn't have any
problems
with my stomach (as far as I knew), but ok, the Herx reaction could manifest
itself there...So I stopped using CS and I had the sick-feeling for 2 to 3
weeks
after having stopped using CS. I waited a few weeks just to be sure that the
sick feeling was definitely gone and started again on CS with a lower
dosage.
Again the same problem. Again waited. The last time I tried, I even used
just 2 a 3 drops a day and again I got the need-to-throw-up feeling. It
might
still be Herx, but how do you know that for sure.

On all sites I visited about CS and even on this list, there's nothing
mentioned
like this bad response I got from using CS. Nobody seems to have any idea
except a) and b) above.

Theoretically I believe in CS (silver is used in space for waterfilters, so
there's a
reason to think it does kill bacteria). For me it didn't help anyway.

The problem is the fact that you can't (or at least not here) go to a normal
doctor and
ask for help on using CS as they don't want to hear about it (and actually
never
heard about it either). There should be official studies about it, but ok,
probably
the pharmaceutical companies are blocking that.

Problem is that now there are only believers and non-believers and there's
no
real institute you can turn to when experiencing my kind of CS problems...
Not as far as
I know anyway.

PS: Even though I didn't find a reason for my problem, a lot of good
information can be
found on this silver-list. These people really want to help and I got a lot
of good feedback!

Kind regards,
Filip

The only problem I have ever heard from taking CS is a herx reaction. If
you get that, simply back off on the dosage, until whatever it is killing
 has been killed off completely.

CSgelatin, nails, etc.

2004-03-29 Thread Terry Chamberlin
Garnett said,
Methionine is the main amino acid in gelatin that is
beneficial to nail growth. Biotin will also help. One
could take these two amino acids and avoid the gelatin
altogether.

Actually, although methionine has some benefit to the
nails, it is more valuable in other ways.

Methionine is an essential amino acid that is not
synthesized by the body and must be obtained from
food. It is one of the sulphur containing amino acids
and is important in many body functions. Through its
supply of sulphur, it improves the tone and pliability
of the skin, conditions the hair and strengthens
nails. The mineral sulphur also protects the cells
from airborne pollutants, such as smog, slows down the
aging process in the cells, and is involved with the
production of protein. Methionine is essential for the
absorption and transportation and bio-availability of
selenium and zinc in the body. It also acts as a
lipotropic agent to prevent excess fat buildup in the
liver, and is an excellent chelator of heavy metals,
such as lead, cadmium and mercury, binding them and
aiding in their excretion from the body. Methionine
can help fatigue and may be useful in some cases of
allergy because it reduces histamine release. It has
also been used in the treatment of rheumatic fever and
toxemia resulting from pregnancy. Recent studies show
methionine deficiencies may be associated with the
development of age related cataracts, and supplements
may delay their development. In Parkinson's disease
patients taking L-Dopa, it was found that additional
supplements with L-Methionine may further decrease the
tremors and rigidity that limit normal activities.
Methionine deficiency symptoms include:
o Apathy
o Depigmentation of hair
o Edema
o Lethargy
o Liver damage
o Loss of muscle and fat
o Skin lesions
o Weakness

Biotin, being a B-vitamin constituent, wouldn't have a
direct value to fingernails.

Gelatin contains a significant amount of calcium
gluconate, a neutral pH calcium, which is quite easily
absorbed. This would probably be the greatest
beneficial nutrient to nails.

I agree about the uncertainty of the safety of gelatin
coming from commercial cow hooves. In my opinion, it
would be better (though not as economical nor
convenient) to take calcium citrate and Concentrace.

My immediate reaction Frequency is the key. Illustration: Magnets are
helpful to some people who have more serious health challenges.
Magnets are basically static in their frequency. As a result they can be a
blessing or a health hazard. If one has a higher frequency, magnets will
effect and draw down one's energy. What to do? Where to go? Something
higher that is of nature and alive. Each food or mineral is of value at
different levels of our evolution of consciousness. 80+% of people reside
in 2nd or 3rd levels of consciousness. CS is an excellent adjunct. What is
yours? Elevating consciousness harmonizes with different frequencies.

Pay attention to the messages from your body. Your body does not lie to
you. It does not mean something is wrong. What would it mean if CS was a
blessing? What would it mean if the CS is right, and showing you something?

Sometimes when I'm working on people I have to move the 'substance' 1 foot
from them, or 10 feet, or out of the room. It depends on the level of
sensitivity, and electrical connections in their quantum blueprint. The
body is divine and never wrong. It is a messenger and teacher for each of us
who choose to listen and learn. Are you being asked to calibrate your
consciousness to your personal vehicle rather than mass consciousness?

Use Pau D'Arco tea. It is an immune stimulant and effective against
bacterial, fungal, viral, and yeast infections. Also considered to be
anti-inflammatory agent. Too high of a dosage (in other words don't go
crazy) can cause uncontrolled bleeding, nausea, and vomiting. Just started
using again, taking 3 tea bags in a big pot of water, making as strong as
possible, drinking 4 cups, storing the rest in the frig. Do not use
internally if on Coudamin. A Medical Doctor who used herbs etc had me on
this one summer so don't let the warnings scare you off, just use a
consistent, moderate amount.

Don't forget about raw garlic - it's good for everything. Chop raw garlic
and swallow as you would a pill. Do at night time. Try using a garlic
press, put the garlic on a bandage and wrap the toe each night too.

CSQuestion about Osteo-Arthritis

2004-03-29 Thread The Hatzfeld's
Hi all. I have a question. I've read that inflammation can be a form of
infection. I am starting to get what I believe is Osteo-Arthritis. Would
CS help in any way?

I've been taking Omega 3's flaxseed meal for some 6-9 months and now the
pain has spread to a larger area and sometimes my fingers feel a little
numb, so I changed brands of Omega 3's and so far no change. Also take
Kyo-Green (young barley grass, young wheat grass, brown rice, chlorella,
kelp) and wondered if anything in this would make it worse. Guess I'm
looking for items to include or exclude from diet.

I do not want to get on prescription drugs and want to tackle this
naturally.

Thanks in advance,

Cindy

Garnet,

In my experience with toe nail fungus is not all toes are effected. Thus I
would check the meridians for further clues. Often the big toe has fungus.
Guess what? Inside of big toe is the liver meridian. Outside is the
spleen. Liver cleanses the body. Spleen is the communication bridge
between the physical and outer energy levels. What issues are blocked and
need cleansing? The teas may help taken internally too. The CS and DMSO
may help if looking at dealing with the organs that are stuffed with toxins.
Before a liver cleanse, make sure one addresses the intestines first - for
at least 3 weeks. Otherwise one will be in bed very sick with the liver
cleanse first as it is unable to 'dump' because of gummed up intestines
and the nausea will make one think it is better to die than to cleanse.

Warmly with E-hugs,

2004-03-29 Thread Christine Carleton
Nancy,

Sorry it has taken me so long to respond. Life interrupts the best of
plans. There are a couple of issues I need to address.

First. I did not create the description of SYNTHETIC - It came from a man
who later became a minister and took on Phyllis Schlafly who critized John
Glen when he landed on the moon and used the word God in his broadcast back
to NASA. He's is a well known American on another health list. I did not
check any further about his research. He has used this description without
contest in publications, so I simply assumed - may make an ass of me - it
was valid. Current dictionaries often favour prevailing ideas but when one
gets into a speciality dictionary, meanings change. E.g.. Black's
Dictionary re law provided different interpretations than ones local
dictionary does. I do not subscribe to this gentleman's religion or church
nor have I tailored this quote in any way to suit myself. His resources
into old religious and linguistic texts is profoundly greater than mine. I
could never override his expertise in an arena where I have little.

Re Chakras. Nancy, an safe reference point may be the work of Dr. David
Hawkins, MD. His book Power vs. Force has a graph that indicates varying
rates of consciousness relative to frequency of people in the world. If one
has undertaken studies regarding frequency, there are correlation's - some
people do not consciously understand what others are able to grasp. E.g..
Einstein, Tesla, Edison, General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics. It does
not make anyone wrong.

Frequency is what CS is about. It changes one's internal environment, and
creatures of lower frequencies - parasites, worms, etc., often find the
increased frequency inhospitable to their survival. Our eyes, our ears, our
whole bodies and organs each have their own frequencies.

Some belief systems judge and make things evil Others observe, and see the
good in all expressions of the human situation. When consciously positioned
in a place of non-judgement, the windows of consciousness open wider and the
ability to hear, see, taste, feel and smell expand beyond conventional
benchmarks - e.g. 20/20 for sight or 5 ranges of hearing.

Limitations on consciousness effect dimensional depth perception plus the
ability to discern subtleties in colours and other levels of reality. Some
folks see the colours of energies around people - our common language speaks
to it - 'they are blue',' they are bright', 'they are slimy' - There is more
depth to language than simple expressions. Those who do not have extended
vision may judge what they cannot see a evil. Those that have extended
vision simply see a richer context to their life experience. Both are right.
In my world there is only emerging growth, consciousness and discernment,
but not evil.

I have found success in alleviating physical and emotional challenges with
these perspectives, thus I carry on with what produces results. I apologise
if I offended you.

Does our language actually tell us? SYNTHETIC -Syn is a term from
archery, meaning to miss the mark - thetic comes from theos or God,
so synthetic means to miss the mark of God. There have been brilliant
folks with chemistry, but some of the good true healthy stuff has been
suppressed or the scientists/physicans have been run out of the country.

Christine, If you check a good dictionary, you will find that syn is a
Greek prefix (same prefix as sym depending on usage) denoting accompaniment
or fellowship of action, belief, condition or experience. Some examples
are: symphony- (phoneo, sound) to sound together in accord, be in
agreement; synergy- (ergeo, work) to work together beneficially or with
heightened efficiency. Thesis comes from the root tithenai- to place,
lay, hence synthesis- to take several parts and place them together into a
 new whole, or to synthesize.

I understand your dislike which I share of man-made medicine, but does that
justify making up your own definitions to suit your religious philosophy?

Since you brought up spiritual viewpoints that I disagree with I will
comment later on the OT silver list since we are not supposed to do that
here.

Like everyone who posts here I am interested in alternative health, and
these other belief systems may have knowledge of some principles of health,
but chakras are illustrated by serpents coiled around human bodies with
their heads on the heart or brain or whatever of the person and serpents are
symbolic of evil in my book.

Sandy- My son and daughter both had pilonidal cysts. My daughter had the
surgery when she had recurrent problems, and her main complaint is that the
figure-8 scar pulls some when stretching. My son didn't have surgery until
his was in a very bad state of inflammation and had a lot of trouble with
it, as the surgery couldn't be done until the inflammation had gone down.
He still have some problems with soreness as he sits at a desk a lot to
 work.

There is actually a sinus open to the surface behind the anus and going up
to the tailbone/end of the spinal column, and unless some herbal treatment
or the castor oil could cause the filling in of tissue in this sinus, I
can't see much that could be done. It is not a simple sebaceous cyst. It
can even have hair growth in it. Perhaps flushing it out frequently could
prevent infection or inflammation. The opening can be very small, though,
like a pinhole. Sorry I can't give you some encouraging words. Nancy

I do not encourage her to have. It is also my understanding that it comes
back.I'd like to know if anyone has suggestions on how to deal with
this. 'would DMSO together with CS be workable on this? Sandy

CSMethionine

2004-03-29 Thread oldgl...@bigcountry.net
Hi Terry,

Does MSM have methionine in it?

Thank you,

Jean Baugh

**

Methionine deficiency symptoms include:
o Apathy
o Depigmentation of hair
o Edema
o Lethargy
o Liver damage
o Loss of muscle and fat
o Skin lesions
o Weakness

Hi Filip,

You haven't told us how you're using the CS, or how much or how
often. These might provide a clue to the problem. It would also
be interesting to know how you're making the CS. Also, are you
adding anything to the CS either during or after generation?

I have used CS that I generated myself and that I bought from several
 different
suppliers. I did experience side effects (or at least problems) with all
of

I don't have any problems wearing a silver ring, so I guess I'm not
allergic
to silver. I asked to check for silver allergy when I did a blood and
urine
test, but they didn't have a test for that.
 b) that it's a Herx reaction and I should lower the dosage.
I used CS to try to cure my chronic sinus infection, I didn't have any
 problems
with my stomach (as far as I knew), but ok, the Herx reaction could
manifest
itself there...So I stopped using CS and I had the sick-feeling for 2 to 3
 weeks
after having stopped using CS. I waited a few weeks just to be sure that
the
sick feeling was definitely gone and started again on CS with a lower

Theoretically I believe in CS (silver is used in space for waterfilters,
so
 there's a
reason to think it does kill bacteria). For me it didn't help anyway.

The problem is the fact that you can't (or at least not here) go to a
normal
 doctor and
ask for help on using CS as they don't want to hear about it (and actually
 never
heard about it either).

These people really want to help and I got a
lot
 of good feedback!

 Kind regards,
 Filip

One of the most effective nutritional approaches to
this kind of arthritis is Concentrace, MSM,

accurate pH testing). Having said that, I would not
rely on it alone. I would make a point of daily
self-treatment with the Emotional Freedom Technique

CSMethionine, etc.

2004-03-29 Thread Terry Chamberlin
Garnet said:
Methionine alone does not give the same results
hence the conclusion that Biotin is affecting the
growth and quality. Not sure of the exact metabolic
pathway, are you Terry?

Probably the premier dynamic in nutrition is what
could be called a complementary or enhancing
relationship between more than one nutrient. Dr. Carey
Reams insisted that all nutrients best benefited the
body in complexes, rather than singly. He said that,
in Nature, there is no such thing as Vit B-1. There is
only Vit B. Vit B-1 is a laboratory construct, created
by breaking down the B Vitamin into separate parts,
none of which actually occur that way in Nature. I
would never take a single amino acid, unless I was
also ingesting a source of complete amino acids, such
as organic meats, or nutritional yeast.

One of the reasons I appreciate Concentrace is that it
contains virtually all the minerals needed by the
human body, and the proportions of these minerals are
nearly identical to the proportions of minerals found
in healthy human blood plasma. This perhaps explains
the frequent positive response to this liquid
supplement that I regularly hear.

CSMethionine, MSM

2004-03-29 Thread oldgl...@bigcountry.net
Hi,

I'm getting better at locating things since someone told me how to use
Google more efficiently. Here are the components of MSM:
MSM Plus Tablets    Product # 1020  -  200 Tablets.  Each tablet contains
750 mg. pharmaceutical grade, 100% MSM with Citrus Bioflavinoids and
PhytoZyme base (synergistic phyto-nutrients).

The cost per milligram (in US) is only 0.019 cents - that's less than 1/50
of a penny! There is no other MSM product of this quality at a lower price.

Natural Organic Sulfur (MSM) is one of the three major nutritional
components of the body. Unless your diet is composed primarily of raw food,
it is unlikely that you are receiving enough natural sulfur to maintain
optimum health. MSM helps create healthy flexible cells while increasing
oxygen and nutritional uptake. It is recommended that you take equal amounts
of natural sulfur and Vitamin C for best results.

Suggested use: 500 mg per 30 lbs. of body weight per day or as directed by
your health care practitioner.

TOPICAL MSM
For a topical application for muscle soreness, etc., Life Plus has MSM Plus
Vital Care Lotion. In addition to MSM, it also contains whole leaf aloe vera
gel and four other soothing herbal extracts. It has a great natural
fragrance (very light) and is non-greasy and penetrating. It leaves skin
smooth and soft.

THE NEED FOR MSM
MSM is Methyl-Sulfonyl-Methane, a naturally occurring organic source of
biologically available nutritional sulfur, an important dietary component in
fresh fruits and vegetables commonly lost during storage and cooking. Sulfur
is a critical component of many important amino acids contained in our
cellular proteins. Sulfur continues to be in studies worldwide examining its
many biochemical functions.Ý

Life Plus MSM Plus is an excellent source of biological sulfur. It can be an
important source of dietary sulfur, an integral part of many proteins,
hormones and other substances critical to healthy metabolism. Even though
MSM is found in most fresh fruits and vegetables, milk and grains, it is
easily destroyed by cooking, processing and storing of our foods, so it
makes sense to supplement with MSM.

Life Plus
Life Plus is a science based company, located in Batesville, Arkansas, that
manufactures nutritional, personal care, organic home care, and weight
management products. The parent company (VMNutri) has been in the
nutritional food business since 1936.

The primary focus of the company has been to develop and market nutritional
products to help prevent degenerative disease and promote optimal health.
Life Plus offers a large selection of the kinds of pharmaceutical grade,
nutritional products that are in high demand. Their prices are competitive
with even the discount priced nutritionals.

MSM
MSM has more recently become used as a dietary supplement because of the
outgrowth of research on the well-known substance DMSO. MSM is a stable
metabolite of DMSO, odorless and a very efficient method for
supplementation. Actually, MSM is equivalent to DMSO but contains an
additional atom of oxygen, so it is actually DMSO2. Life Plus MSM uses the
highest quality MSM available.Ý

The amount of MSM required to obtain maximum benefit will vary among
individuals and according to need. It is suggested you begin with one 750 mg
tablet per day and increase as desired, up to 6 tablets twice a day.Ý Most
people find that 2-4 tablets twice a day is the right amount.

Keep container closed and store in a cool dry place.

SULFUR
Sulfur is an important body component. It is essential to life, and a major
component of all living things. It is an element that is quite often
overlooked as a nutrient, but yet is an important ingredient in several of
the very critical amino acids that make up the proteins contained in our
muscles, enzymes and other constituents in our body. Sulfur is in the
proteins which constitute basic hair, nails and skin. The sulfur-containing
structural protein keratin is found throughout the body, from the epidermis
to the hair follicle to the bronchial epithelium of the lungs to the
intestinal mucosa. Sulfur-bearing amino acids are key components of many
functional proteins and enzymes, and important determinants in the
tertiary three-dimensional structures, many of which are held in place by
permanent disulfide (-S-S-) linkages-for example, in maintaining the hair in
its natural inclination toward straight or curly.Ý

SULFUR AND THE AMINO ACIDS
Sulfur is contained in the amino acids, methionine, cysteine and cystine,
and in the important sulfhydryl tripeptide glutathione. Dietary sulfur can
be incorporated into cysteine, cystine and glutathione. Animal studies using
radioactive tracers show that the sulfur in MSM can even be utilized to
prepare methionine. Key proteins dependent on, for example, the important
oxidation-reduction partners cysteine and cystine include:Ý

Skins and bones is correct, I believe, and this is the concern. MBM
-- meat and bone meal -- was part of the reason cows got the disease,
so it seems reasonable to worry about gelatin.Of particular concern
would be ground-up spinal tissue.

As to whether prions are in flesh, this is an unresolved question.I
think that t-bone steak is now forbidden in some countries.

Prions are proteins, so I guess the question is, are there any
proteins in

gelatine. I am not sure.

My brother was working in Europe a couple years ago and he said during
the BSE scare people stopped eating all gelatin containing products,
including Altoid breath mints.

Methionine is the main amino acid in gelatin that is beneficial to
nail
growth. Biotin will also help. One could take these two amino acids
and
avoid the gelatin altogether. It is largely undigestible protien
anyway

so not as much benefit as one might think just reading the nutritional
info.

If anyone knows that this concern is invalid, I would be glad to
learn

about that.

For as long as it takes. Some folks take it as a
lifestyle to keep the nail issue from coming back.
Other folks take it whenever the symptoms return. It
won't hurt you, seeing as it provides assimilable
calcium.

As far as causes, see:

http://www.mercola.com/article/vaccines/neurological_damage.htm

http://www.mercola.com/1999/archive/hepatitis_b_vaccine.htm

These two articles refer to the ataxic response (among
others) in children to various immunizations. As far
as treatments, the doctors know zip. I would, if
possible, use a total immune system rebuilding
program, which probably isn't practical in this case.

EFT and prayer come to mind.
