Re: CS>SILLY QUESTION BUT .....
Hello Sue, You could buy a silver pulser in the UK here http://www.justmagnotherapy.com/silver-pulser.html for the price of less than five bottles of CS you have been buying. I have bought from this site many times, they are good reliable people. I don't know if this is a highly regarded machine or not, but I would not be surprised if it made better quality CS at a fraction of the price. Making it is considerably less complicated than cooking a meal, for example. Putting your own machine together is also very easy. I use either deionised water from Superdrug, or Purified Water BP from my local chemist. Nature2 sells a cartridge for spas, but they also have one for swimming pools. You need only one cartridge for swimming pools per season and they are able to purify water for any size pool Certainly up to about 20,000. gal. To all, There is a product called Nature 2 natural mineral purifier. It does have silver along with other minerals. You do need a very small amount of chlorine to act as a catalyst. It works very well. It is made by Zodiac Pool Care, Inc. www.nature2.com. I have been selling them for over four years, and most of my customers like it very much. Dan, If may be worthwhile to wait for rainwater to fall, make CS, then add to tapwater. Current limitation could be achieved with a rheostat. A rheostat resistance equal to the (initial) resistance between the silver electrodes would provide appropriate current limitation. An ohmmeter and resistor is not necessary. Just replicate the inter-electrode resistance with another cell like the first, except that it uses non-silver electrodes - copper coins might do. Matthew

CS>Iraq CS Challenge
I saw a report on TV about the bad water situation in Iraq with respect to the drinking water being contaminated with bacteria and hepatitis etc. I was thinking that it might be possible to make CS to sterilize the water, in a pinch, using silver and batteries which would be available there, and the regular tap water since distilled water would not be available. This should be a fairly fast process since there would be no current regulation and the water would start out with high conductivity due to the impurities in it. Anyone have any idea what this would take in emergency conditions like this? (How long would it take? What would you look for to determine that the CS was strong enough, etc?)
