Re: CSquestion about total dissolved solids

2006-04-24 Thread Ode Coyote

An AA Spectrophotometer will...and might not fit into your closet.

All meters measure conductivity, not PPM.

Too big to enter? ..doesn't need to get out.

ode

This question concerns how to determine the amount of UNdissolved minerals
in drinking water (or improperly made silver solution). I know that a TDS
(total dissolved solids) meter measures the dissolved minerals -- which, I
would assume, are ionic. But does this same piece of equipment detect the
larger solids? If not, what does?

Thanks.

CSThe Power and Magic of Liver

2006-04-24 Thread Wayne Fugitt

Likely we have all missed something in our never ending quest of health and
the missing substance in our diet.

Adelle Davis was a strong believer in Liver. She stated that raw liver
would cure in 3 days while cooked liver could take 3 to 5 weeks to achieve
the same results.

In the 60's, I would buy liver tablets for about $ 5.00 per thousand. Ten
to 50 per day was the daily dose.

Many interesting tests have been done with liver.Rats fed the liver,
could swim ten times as long as the ones not fed liver.

The value and effect of liver had puzzled nutritionist for years. If they
fed one group liver, and another group all the items that they knew existed
in liver, the group that ate the liver always excelled.

Finally they discovered that a special red protein was the item in liver
that existed in no other food which was providing the exceptional endurance.

We all agree that the liver powder and pills have a strong and
objectionable flavor. At the time I was using liver, I always had a
bottle or two everywhere.

Once I took a friend fishing in my boat. I heard him munching on
something and was surprised to see him munching on the liver tablets like
they were peanuts or popcorn.

Yes, he said they tasted good.

Today liver still has the magic property it has always had.I suspect
that less than 1 % of the population eats liver in the course of a month or
even 6 months.

Most had rather be sick that to try a food they think tastes awful, not
realizing that the taste buds can be trained to like these odd tasting foods.

I have been getting significant relief from back and heel pain using
LLLT (low level laser therapy) with a 635nm 10mw laser diode. These used to
be very expensive but are now manufactured in China so you can get them with
a power supply for about $40. I also use a line generating lens on the laser
so I can cover larger areas at once. My brother is a chiropractor and gets
consistently good results using a 635 10mw line generating laser on sciatica

LEDs can work well too for surface issues but take a bit longer in my
opinion and don't penetrate as well. The coherent collimated light from the
laser penetrates deep into the tissue and speeds up recovery on many levels.

A couple of comments. Feeding bees with CS will cause them to starve to death
although bloated with honey. But simply cleaning the frames and so forth with
IES will likely not be a problem. I am not sure but I think that will likely
work for European foul brood, but American Foul Brood forms spores, and thus
will likely not be killed effedtively. To kill it requires the spores to be
tricked into germinating, and to do that I recommend adding some glucose and
calcium propionate to the mixture. Be aware though that 15 mintues is not
enough time if you are having to germinate the spored, I would recommend a
minimum of 8 hours, and suggest 24.

Hi Jim,

Why Argentina?

First, the cows supposedly live a life of luxury at home in the Pampas
region of Argentina. A region of Argentina
that is fertile in natural alfalfa, wheat, and oat grasses. The cattle roam
freely on the grand, rich, grasslands.
Organic cattle in the Pampas are required by the Argentine Cattle
Association to be raised stress free. They are
never given any hormones, branded, or herded aggressively. The animals live
outside, free range, running free. Law
requires one acre of pasture land per organic designated cow.

Take care,
 V

Yes, it is extremely nutritious, especially that of the pig. The down
side
is that it concentrates and retains some virulent toxins, so as always,
one
 should eat clean.

But what does argentine (sic) bovine liver possess that makes it so
 special?

The problem is not lack of intellegence, but that a laser beam is
invisible until it strikes something. So if it hits a reflective
surface it can reflect back into the eye and instantly blind you on one
area of the retnia. The glasses are highly recommended if working with
a laser over 2 mw. The reflection can happen very suddenly and
unexpectedly, IE if you are positioning it and it hits anything
reflective, or if someone walks through the laser beam, and has
something reflective on them, a belt buckle, a pen or anything.

If the kids can take capsules, charcoal capsules work great for stomach
problems. The charcoal absorbs bacteria and toxins. Peppermint tea also
is great for stomachs, and Peppermint and Catnip tea is mild for relieving

Sugarfree menthol cough drops are one way to take some strong menthol, the
active ingredient in peppermint tea, if the kids are big enough to suck on
hard candy. Ginger tea is also great for stomach problems and colds/flu.

I find if I am taking CS daily, other people in my family may get colds and

Let's see...

Ed, seeming not to have read Bob's post well at all, makes
remarks that
contradict everything Bob said, starting with the clueless
suggestion
that it's the juices that Bob has already stated he's been
using for a
long while.

Now, if I try hard, I can see that Ed's remarks *might* not
be intended
to be disrespectful and dismissive. Maybe the stuff is
expensive. Maybe
fresh organic calve's liver would be better. Maybe
commercial meat
products are produced very unsafely -- and *maybe* that
applies to the
product Bob is reporting on. I don't know.

But starting with the erroneous remark about the juice and
the tone of
the rest, I can certainly see why Bob reacted badly...
however
disappointed I am to see it on-list.

Bob: I'm taking a tablespoon in the morning chased with
fresh squeezed
grapefruit and lemon juice. I've been doing GJ LJ a long
time so
these effects are not from that.

Ed: It may be that your kick in the pants is more from the
fresh
squeezed grapefruit and lemon juice (old folk remedy).

All I know is you both need to cool down. I can't tell if
there's some
sort of bad blood between you two, but if there is, I don't
want to see
it here.

Drop it now.

Before you wrote that you should have read what I wrote-
 I've been doing the
juices for a long tme and have never felt any uplift from
 them. Keep the
criminal crap to yourself. If you don't like it, don't eat
 it. As for the
chemicals, I know the difference and you can keep that to
 yourself as well.
Go stick a needle in your own ass and let some hot air
out.

Sorry Mike, I won't do it again.

It may be that your kick in the pants is more from the
fresh
 squeezed
grapefruit and lemon juice (old folk remedy). At those
 prices one may be
better off buying fresh organic liver from your local
 market. And if you
could get fresh organic calves liver you should be soon
 rocketing into
space. Now a days commercial beef production (even in
 Brazil, et al) is
criminal. The liver's function is to clean the blood of
 toxins and because
commercial interests are chemically dependent the liver
 becomes a virtual
wasteland - then add the powdered desiccated process
or
 just maybe the
kick in the pants comes not from the liver - but the
 concentrated chemicals
 passed through ...

Re: CSThe Power and Magic of Liver

thanks Wayne interesting...and glad to know I am doing something rightdeb

Likely we have all missed something in our never ending quest of health and
the missing substance in our diet.

Adelle Davis was a strong believer in Liver. She stated that raw liver
would cure in 3 days while cooked liver could take 3 to 5 weeks to achieve
 the same results.

In the 60's, I would buy liver tablets for about $ 5.00 per thousand. Ten
to 50 per day was the daily dose.

Many interesting tests have been done with liver. Rats fed the liver,
could swim ten times as long as the ones not fed liver.

Today liver still has the magic property it has always had. I suspect
that less than 1 % of the population eats liver in the course of a month or
 even 6 months.

Most had rather be sick that to try a food they think tastes awful, not
realizing that the taste buds can be trained to like these odd tasting foods.

Boy could this counrty learn a thing or two huh?...deb

 Hi Jim,

 Why Argentina?

First, the cows supposedly live a life of luxury at home in the Pampas region
 of
 Argentina. A region of Argentina
that is fertile in natural alfalfa, wheat, and oat grasses. The cattle roam
freely on the grand, rich, grasslands.
Organic cattle in the Pampas are required by the Argentine Cattle Association
 to
be raised stress free. They are
never given any hormones, branded, or herded aggressively. The animals live
outside, free range, running free. Law
requires one acre of pasture land per organic designated cow.

 Take care,
 V

Yes, it is extremely nutritious, especially that of the pig. The down side
is that it concentrates and retains some virulent toxins, so as always, one
  should eat clean.

But what does argentine (sic) bovine liver possess that makes it so
  special?

Be careful of the sugar free cough drops that they don't contain aspertame.

Sugarfree menthol cough drops are one way to take some strong menthol, the
active ingredient in peppermint tea, if the kids are big enough to suck on
hard candy. Ginger tea is also great for stomach problems and colds/flu.

I find if I am taking CS daily, other people in my family may get colds and
flu but I don't get them at all.

Me again.

My 2 small children and I have a nasty bug of some sort - day 9 today
since my 4.5 yr old first threw up.

It seems that they throw up basically every 2nd day, just once until
thestomach is completely empty. Then they go back to running around
happy and playing. They've not mounted anything but a low grade fever
once in awhile. For me, my stomach has just been burning and churning,
no vomiting. Any food or drink seems to cause a sore tummy for 2 of us.
My ds had runny poops off and on but just him.
