So you advocate paying more *now* then! What is the difference? Plus not
*all* small companies are so ethical either, given the chance they want to
be in with the big league as well eventually, so again, what is the
difference? Dee

Solaray has an excellent multi-vitamin mineral supplement. I think it is
call Spectra-something. We've compared ingredient per milligrams, and have
found no better. A little pricey, but our favorite.

Re: CSMulti Vitamin and Mineral

2008-01-20 Thread Ole Alstrup
One of my key interests for a number of years gave been absorption rates of
vitamins and minerals. Normal grade USP manufactured vitamins found in 99.99%
of supplements are in a state not found in nature, this can be compared to
minerals in an inorganic state, absorption rate is low because the vitamin is
isolated and not part of a food matrix, the vitamins are to some degree
recognized as foreign material and when taken in mega dosages is a strain on
the body, since they strain the elimination processes of the body, especially
the kidneys. Expensive urine. When taken with a meal, some conjugation is
taking place, but far from what is desirable, so this is why natural superfoods
with high amounts of naturally occurring vitamins and minerals are so effective
and much less is needed to get the job done. That is why the science of
effective chelation of minerals have slowly become recognized in the wider
nutritional field. However, there are a few companies who have solved
this dilemma to a greater extent and are creating foodstate vitamins (and
minerals) with various technologies, thi is not widely recognized, but I
believe we will see much more of this in the coming years. I have tested and
used those supplements below and the personal experience have been very
dramatic compared to normal USP vitamins etc of normal/megadose strength. This
is much more advanced than simple chelation. Because absorption AND utilization
is so much higher, you need MUCH less to what you need and that is also very
positive in terms of elimination.
I can recommend either of two multi’s in combination with perhaps a high
absorption and utilization calcium and magnesium citrate chelated
supplement(s), as these multi formulas do not provide so much of these
nutrients, otherwise the ratios are very good.

CSvitamins to ole

2008-01-20 Thread zeb caffe
Thanks for posting those web sites ole. I have been wondering about these
issues with supplements myself due to kidney problems.I do take supplements and
know that they help because of my blood work improvement and the fact that I
never seem to get flues or colds anymore(a constant problem for me in the past(
I still have many health problems thou. I have wondered about inonic minerals
that are plant based. I have heard good reports about these and yet there has
been reports on alot of heavy metal contamination with ionic minerals. My
biggest problem now is that I have bone problems and the beginning of
osteoporosis and so taking minerals is important but I have alot of calcium
deposits in various areas that show up on xrays. I think minerals are very
important but it is crucial to get the right kind that are absorbed and get
into the bone. Taking magnesium is important when taking calcium.(everyone on
this forum already knows this already). I would post more but know it
should be moved off topic. I dont seem to have any luck getting on that
forum. I finally got on it last year after many tries but then somehow was
taken off . I am not sure how that happened . I hope no one minds me posting
health related off topic issues.

They have a different formula depending on your needs and different for men

I have been using them for about 5 years along with other vits + supplements.
