I don't like the thought of a removable bridge always being in my mouth but a toxic root canal is destructive too. I just don't know. My husband had his pulled, and the sick feeling was gone right away. He felt better. Then he had to get a new bridge. If he had not gone through all the root canal stuff, it would have been resolved faster, and cost less money. The pulling cost around 300 dollars or so, then the bridge was done when it healed up. That was spendy, but I am not sure how much, since it went on the card. The root canal was done a couple of times, and root planing a few times, and all kinds of other stuff. So that was an expensive thing to go through, and to have to pull it anyway. He felt bad for years with it, and it went away pretty soon after it was pulled. I am not sure what you should do, your mileage may vary, but he does not listen to the dentist about this kind of thing anymore. He still has most of his teeth, but is not afraid of having them pulled AT ALL. I am gla d you have gotten some relief, even if it is not complete. I see you are worried about having many further dental procedures due to bone infection, but do you know for sure the infection has actually spread to the jawbone yet? If it hasn't everyday you leave the infected tooth in your mouth the higher the chances the infection WILL spread to the bone. (you did say the temorary crown had an opening/break?) Which tooth is this? I have root canals, and have one titanium implant because if not for them I would have like only the back two molars on my upper left side, and I can't wear a bridge for a couple reasons. So while theoretically I agree that root canals are not good (and had 3 failures and further dental surgery) I still do not care to be toothless. BUT, if my last tooth problem had been where it wouldn't be visible or obvious with every smile, I would simply have had the tooth pulled. sol -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver. Anyone that has not done so already, try to find a pamphlet by dr. Jerald Judd called Good Teeth from Birth to Death. Re: CSTooth update and dilemmas
Hi. I'm glad that you're feeling a bit better, and understand your dilemna. I sympathize with your feelings of not wanting to lose a tooth -- but it seems to me the tooth is already lost. If it were I, I would have the tooth pulled and be done with these issues of pain and infection. Particularly, if you have a healthy tooth on either side of the infected one, which can support a bridge to replace the missing tooth. Which brings me to my question -- why would you have to have a removable partial? I lost a molar on my lower right, and have a permanent bridge to replace it. This has never caused me any problems or discomfort, so I don't understand the constant cleaning and degradation of the jaw bone. I did have to take antibiotics prior to the tooth extraction, as I'm sure you would. And I suspect that the ligament and bone scraping are probably contingent upon the amount of infection that your dentist would find. All of the toxic effects that you are worried about affecting your health protocol against Lyme don't hold a candle to the toxic effect of an ongoing tooth and possible bone infection. Even an otherwise healthy body would have serious trouble dealing with that -- and yours is already doing battle with a difficult foe. I think you would be doing your body a favor by resolving this in the fastest possible manner. This is just my very humble opinion -- and the one that I would make for myself. Whichever way you decide to go, I wish you good health. CSSerrapeptase update
Just thought I'd let you know of an observation. My husband asked me the other day if I had anything around that would help him clear up his morning cough, which really is just something he does to break up the mucus every morning. After two nights taking the Serrapeptase, he claims he is much improved. I'm not sure if part of it is a placebo effect or not. Also, I've been taking one a day since Thanksgiving, at bedtime, throwing in an occasional extra one when I wake up in the morning. Went to the doctor and had my BP taken. I didn't take it when I started the Serrapeptase, but previously it was running about 140/90. Had it taken on Friday, and it was 135/84. I haven't seen anything below 90 for a long time! Maybe this is working. Linda Don’t bother just to be better than your contemporaries or predecessors. Try to be better than yourself. William Faulkner
